How do I adjust the audio settings on the SHT-6200 amp. Music is playing faint and in the background, not full and robust

If you are just using a record deck, then the answer is that you need a magnetic cartridge pre-amp to make it work.
However if you are having the problems on all settings, then it sounds like the main power amp has failed.

My amplifer does not have a pre in connection what can I use to substitute

You can use any spare connection, such as tape, aux, CD. However you will have to purchase a magnetic cartridge pre-amp, otherwise you will only hear a faint sound from the deck.
Only connect the deck to the pre-amp. If you are short on connections, then you can get a switching box, which will allow several devices to be connect to one socket on you amp.

I have a JVC QL-L20B turntable, hooked to receiver directly and plugged through cable, cannot get any sound except very faint from turntable itself, any suggestions.

SINCE I DON'T HAVE THE TURNTABLE IN FRONT OF ME AND NOT BEING FAMILIAR WITH THIS PARTICULAR TURNTABLE, I CAN GIVE AN EDUCATED GUESS. WITHOUT GETTING INTO THE CONFUSING ELECTRONIC SPECIFICS, ABOUT PREAMPS, ETC. REMOVE THE TURNTABLE PLATTER. UNDERNEATH IT, IF I'M CORRECT, THERE SHOULD BE A SLIDE SWITCH. IF THERE IS, SLIDE TO THE OTHER POSITION FROM WHERE IT IS CURRENTLY. PUT THE PLATTER BACK ON, TURN ON YOUR SYSTEM AND SEE IF THAT SOLVES YOUR PROBLEM. IF NOT, YOU MAY NEED TO BUY A PREAMP FOR YOUR TURNTABLE. HOPE THIS SUGGESTION HELPS

Why is there no music being transmitted from turntable to sound system?

If the amps connected to the deck have no dedicated "phono" socket / setting you will only hear weak sound. However you can get a magnetic cartridge pre-amp. This connects between the turntable and amp and makes the signal the same level as what would come off say a tape recorder.

I have this turntable but can't get sound from my technics dv290 . There are 2 leads which I have plugged in the back . I can fainted hear the record.every thing else works well.what do I need for my...

I rather suspect that your amp might not have a "magnetic cartridge pre-amp". If you check your instructions book it should state if the amp has a dedicated "phono" socket with inbuilt pre-amp. If it does use that. Otherwise you can buy a pre-amp online that will do the job.

My NAD C320 outputs a very low sound volume

Hi there I have a C340 that has similar problem, you must have bought this from ebay, lol.

Nad made a mistake on the C range, the pre - power link can be shorted out. if the pre is shorted out it takes out the pre amplifier stage, I have managed to get the right channel working, I will keep you informed what is the cause of the left channel. I have replaced the pre-amp IC and a couple of Jfets and transistors. Once I have repaired the Amp I could repaire yours if you like???

0ne channel sound other very faint

You still need to determine if the main amp is at fault, before takling the turntable. Does the amp have seperate sockets for the turnatable, if yes then inside the amp it will have a pre-amp just for the the deck, which no other device will go through. This can be easily tested. First find it, by tracing the wires from the phono imput to the first PC Board you come to. This should have the pre-amp on it. Touching the left and right inputs (one at a time) to it should cause it to buzz. If they buzz at the same volume it's OK. If not there's a fault on it.
If that test is good then the turnatable is to blame, starting with the obvious fault of the cartridge. Other faults include broken or poor connections, plus a fault in a pre-amp on the turntable. You can test this by the same method as above.

You might need a preamp if you turn it up full volume and can faintly hear the music in needs a pre-amp to boost the signal .

NAD C740 no longer reproducing music through loudspeakers

what was your amp? ic or transistorized? the output transistor of your amp may be opened, mostly it will short but because u still hear sound, maybe open and only the driver transistor are working. replacing output transistor or IC could solve the problem.
