Looks like you may have an over heat problem. Look for a problem with your vent system and pipes. If its partially blocked you will trip the heater over temp thermostat.

I was a GE tech for 25 years so I am using that experiance to try and help with your Bosch dryer, But I haven't worked on one. It still sounds like an overheat problem. We just have to figure out way. Most dryers use a bimetal disk for temp control and some fancier ones use thermisters hooked to the main board. If yours has the bimetal type it may be sticking on too long causing the problem. If the thermister type, the internal resistance may have changed also causing too long of a heat on cycle. My problem is I can't find a diagram of your machine to tell you where those parts may be. Maybe someone else has more knowledge of your dryer than I do.

Electric dryer won't heat

Thermal overload cutout tripped or is defective and needs replaced. Look for a red reset button near the heater element on the thermal overload. If no reset button, replace the thermal overload cutout. The timer itself could be defective, which will prevent power going to the heater element.

Bosch WTVC3300 dryer keeps tripping reset button

If it keeps reseting, check if the ventilation house is clean, also check if the dryer blower is clean in convention with the filter conductor.

Bosch dryer will not heat

If you have a Tumble Dryer that is not heating up but the drum is turning ok, then the chances are the thermal overload cutout has tripped. Bosch dryers have a reset button but you will have to remove the heater cover panel to access it, you will find it just above the heating element (a black stat with small red button) simply press the red button and if it clicks you've fixed it.
It also may be:
If the dryer doesn't heat, but the drum turns, check the thermal fuse(s). The thermal fuse protects the dryer from overheating and helps to prevent fires. If the thermal fuse is blown, it will have to be replaced

My dryer does not heat up I pushed both reset buttons...

Welcome to FixYa.

Just to clarify your statement "dryer does not heat up I pushed both reset buttons..." are you referring to the hi limit cut out ( on the heater box ) and the emergency shut off switches ( next to the belt pulley ) you've reset already ?

I'll assume you are unless you say otherwise since you've also stated the dryer will indeed tumble just not heat, correct ?

Have you checked the heating element for continuity following the reset attempts ?

If not, that is where I'd direct your attention going forward. With the aid of an ohm meter or a multi-meter, place a lead on each element terminal and you should have continuity.

If you're uncertain about how to go about this, send me an email at and I can attach a short .wmv file approximately 3.5MB ( there is no audio and it is directly from Bosch ) on "how to".

I'll watch for your reply. Good luck.

Zanussi ZWD1680W Front Load All-in-One... Problem:

With the symptoms you describe i would suspect a intermittent heater element fault as you are getting earth leakage current which is tripping the whole supply rather than a current overload which would just trip the socket circuit breaker. Get the heating element checked over first as this is the most likely cause.

Bosch nexxt 500 series dryer

I just had the same problem, motor runs but no heat. I had a fun time figuring out how take the front panel off, hint the rubber seal comes off easily. It looks like mine tripped the resettable over heat sensor. So far so good.
