Is there any fuses inside the unit or just the one on the back inside that cylindrical fuse holder that you can push, twist and remove? Mine will not power and I want to open up the box if there is any fuses there and I will check for cracks near the pots, etc. as well while I am inside the power box. I already removed the box fromt heback. Just need to open it up now.

There is 2 fuses in there which were fine. I soldered where the power plug comes in and attached to the power circuit board, the one that the power transformer is plugged into with 2 separate wires that have the speaker terminal type connectors, a blue wire and a black wire. I got power. Now, the clip light stays on and no sound. I made one of these audio probes to trace where signal stops -http://billmaudio.com/wp/?page_id=1254 .
I got signal on the input jack of the 1/4 inch when plugged into it, playing a 400hz sine wave. I also got signal on the XLR output that is used to chain signal to another speaker. When I checked the amp board, I got no signal anywhere on the signal path. I took apart my other speaker, same model and after exchanging different parts connected to each other, I isolated the problem to the pcb board that has the volume and EQ modules on it and the 1/4 input, the XLR input and the XLR output on it for connecting to other speakers.

I looked at the board thoroughly and see no signs of parts being blown at all. I am wondering what to test on it. I have a multimeter that does volts DC and AC and also measures Ohms.

Does anybody know what maybe usually goes out on that little separate pcb board I am referring to?

    Thank You,

    Lance

SOURCE: behringer eurolive b1520 pro speakers duller than the other

Hi,

Best and safest is to have a good electronicus check it out.
i've worked on these kind off things, and i assure you not everything can be simply solved without experience, especially when talking about a decent type like Behringer ;)...

Hope this is helpful, and greetings,

Olivier.

SOURCE: Behringer B215A replaced volume level knob does not respond.

You DON'T replace the board. If it is cracked, you bridge insulated wires around the cracks and epoxy them down.

Often the pads break from the traces near the pots. Look for a small crack between the pad of the pot and the circuit trace leaving it. Common problem.

SOURCE: The 1/4

I have seen some of the 1/4 inch jacks that had the mounting nut overtightened and it resulted in the riveting of the threaded part to the metal where the wires connect being stretched to the point the riveting came loose, breaking the contact.

The only way to know is to open the unit. Some of the board mounted "plastic" wonder jacks one can't even see without unsoldering them from the circuit boards.

When replacing do NOT overtighten the mounting nut !!!

I had two of these units fail exactly the same way. The amplifier assembly is the failing part.

If it's out of warranty, then you will need to order a replacement. Don't bother with Behringer support, they aren't helpful. I recommend a place called The Tone Garage. They have said they can order replacement amplifier assemblies in about 4 weeks.

I installed a Q05-19700-00476 input PCBA for B215A componant. when I connect to the tweeter it blows it please help.

Certainly your hf driver is getting amp rail voltage, this is why tweeter blows, disconnect tweeter and with the unit powered on check the tweeter leads with a voltmeter and let me know the readings, but surely will be dc voltage...

I want to order a new volume pot for my Eurolive B215A powered speaker directly from Behringer, then fit it myself. Who do I contact to order the part?

Lots of luck. Behringer no longer sells direct. Fullcompass.com is their parts distributor. If they don't have it in stock, it takes months... I have had an order in for 6 months now. The procedure is you call Behringer at 1-425-672-0816 to get a part number and an incident type number. Then call Fullcompass and order the part at 1-800-356-5844 and tell them you need Behringer part. IF they have it in stock, then you are lucky.

Clip light

It sounds like one side of the power amp has shorted. May be hazardous to the speaker so best take it to a shop for repair. If speaker stills sounds OK, probably the clip detector transistors have failed.
