Turning on hp slate 500 without power switch

I hope you found a solution months ago, but just in case:
My switch also broke a while back, and this is a common problem with the slate 500 due to the construction of the switch.
This should help:

http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/hp-slate/41309-my-power-switch-just-broke-2.html

My solution: remove what's left of the plastic switch (if anything) then use a long thin thing (LTT) (about 2 cm long) in the hole where the switch was. I use a squashed paper clip - someone else had a mini screwdriver, someone else the toothpick on their pen knife.

Put the LTT straight at the top of the switch hole and pull down, the same way you used to pull down on the power switch, then let go. The indicator light under the switch hole will blink 3 times quickly if you've successfully tripped the switch.

All the best!

Change brake light bulb on a 2000 Nissan Frontier

The entire bed line will need to be removed. The long screws that hold the metal bracet where the bed extender attaches also hold the tail light assembly in place.
I pulled the bed liner up at a 45 degree angle and layed it on top of the cab. This revealed the screws. Take both screws out and lay to the side along with the metal bracket for the bed extender.
Now firmly grab the edges of the tail light assembly and pull...there are 2 hard rubber nipples that snap in to hold the assembly. You will feel like you might break it but you won't..just pull straight back hard. The assembly will "POP" out and then you can just twist the back of each bulb there are (3) and pull out..now you will see the bulbs..just pull the bad bulb straight out and push the new one into place. Now just reassemble. Total time will be 30-45 min. for this repair.

Replacing front headlight bulb . Instructions for

With the hood open, you will see a long flat flexible plastic cover running across the front, above the headlights. It is riveted in with plastic rivets. Hold the outer part of the rivet, and pull up the center part. Then remove the whole rivet. Remove the plastic cover. (When you put it back on, insert the outer part in the hole, then press the center part down into each rivet.)
You will see a sidelamp and headlight assembly. Look down between the sidelamp and headlight, there should be a black plastic clip or latch that holds the side lamp to the headlight. (The clip is down a hole, in the bracket holding the headlight to the body). You will probably need a long screw drive to get down in the hole to release the clip. And maybe a flash light to see down the hole. Put just enough pressure to release the latch, it is plastic, and if you press to hard it could break. Once released the side lamp will pop forward a bit. The sidelamp section can be pulled forward. a bit. However, there is a long plastic part on the Sidelamp Section that slides into a metal hole in the Fender. It will break if you try to pry the sidelamp section out sideways.
Next you will see two top-mounted bolts holding the Headlight Assembly in place which can easily be accessed and removed. Removing the bolts will loosen the entire headlight assembly.
Some instruction say you can remove the headlight and side assembly as a unit. Do not do this! If you try to remove the headlight assembly without detaching the sidelamp you could break either of the lights or the connection assembly.
The Bulb Assembly twists out of the back of the Headlight Assembly, and the bulb can then be replaced. Be careful not to touch the bulb with your hands or with any grease.
Many of the parts are plastic and can break, so do this carefully and patiently. It sounds a little complicated, but once you learn how, the whole job only takes about 20 minutes.

Hope helped. (remember rated this).

My choke won't stay out when i pull it out. Is there an adjustment i can do? or do i need to replace it?

you can loosen the nut on the back side of the bracket the holds the choke knob and then turn the piece on the front side of the bracket clockwise. This will put more tension on the rod. BE VERY CAREFUL.....this is plastic and it won't take much to break it. gently tighten the nut on the back side of the bracket....not much more than finger tight as it will break the plastic housing also.

Need instructions on how to convert my aspen simplicity crib into a toddler bed?

i think this is the same crib that i have. I remove the front rail that slides up and down, then i removed the plastic contraptions that allow it to slid up and down on. I then attached the bed frame on the lowest setting, by first fastening the two back ends first. Then I attached the toddler rails to the bottom of the bed frame and then once they where on I attached the bed frame to the crib with the rails and the brackets for the bed frame pressed together. I hope i explained it so that i makes sense.

Side rails

I have a similar problem, but a different Simmons crib. I called the company that momof4girls unrecommended and they were VERY helpful, but they were not able to ship me the parts as Simmons discontinued this type of hardware in the early 90's. My crib has a headboard and footboard - the 2 side boards are able to slide up and down on aluminum slats (almost 3 feet long.) The aluminum slats are connected to the headboards with 8 bolts; what I needed to order replacements of are the plastic sliders that allow the sidewalls to go up and down on the aluminum bracket. Not only do they allow it to go up and down, but without them you are not able to assemble the sidewalls to the crib at all. I solved the issue buy purchasing L brackets at Lowes and permanently attaching the sidewalls to the headboard and footboard, but it made it so the sidewalls did not raise or lower. I am ok with that! However, if you do NOT have the aluminum slats, you may be out of luck. The spring for the bed attaches on the aluminum brackets, so even if you were able to bolt the 4 sides together, you still have to figure out a way to attach the spring for the mattress (which connects by sliding a hook into holes on the aluminum bracket... no room for bolts here.) I am rather surprised that the hardware for this crib is plastic and aluminum; the bed is HEAVY and it is very difficult to put together as the aluminum slider is easily bent and the plastic sliders are flimsy. I actually broke the plastic pieces during assembly. No wonder this hardware was discontinued! I called Simmons and asked if they had an "updating' kit... they do not. Good luck!
