Is it normal that the epson projector EB-S7 heats a lot, 5mins after power on ?

Air exhaust fan and Air intake fan are working properly. Air filter is clean. Status indicators : Lamp error and High temp error remains off. Lamp Hours : Normal - 185H and Eco - 63H After the projector has been shut off, it takes time to cool down. Please advice. Thanks

Why epson projector eb-56 not warking red light in lamp

Trying unplugging it and then plugging it back in. Check the air filter to make sure it's clean. If the lamp light is still on, mostly you have a bad lamp. I always buy new lamp from Bulb Source. They have a quick turn around for delivery.

Epson powerlite 200 overheating after 20 minutes of use then shuts off.

How's the filter, if it has one - cleaned out recently? Much dust in the airways? Tried setting it into "high altitude" (or simply "high fan speed") mode and seeing if that helps?

Depending on the age of the projector. Could be computer resolution, bad cable, burned up LCD filter (inside), or is set to NTSC instead of PAL or vise verse.

Copy and paste from dealer info (with some parts deleted) and Example of Ballast,

Id say the ballast is blown or its power supply (PSU), Sorry I'm not confortable giving you testing procedures for the power supply or ballast as it involves very high voltage, even present when unit is powered down, and is too much of a safety risk to be operated on outside of the workshop without proper systems in place. (ie we are all trained in procedures, and use current limiting devices on our work benches), these things can pack a punch and are not something to be playing inside of. 11_2_2011_8_34_03_am.jpg

Is heat supposed to be felt out the back of unit? I feel heat coming from around the tube in one spot

Yes, it's normal for the exhaust heat to be warm. Because it's a combination of the compressor heating up and the hot air be exhausted out of the house.. However, with that said, make sure the exhaust hose is securely attached and that he is not a pin hole or two, in the exhaust hose near the coupling. Also, make sure that you clean the air intake filter clean regularly.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks,
