You only use the internal memory (24MB). Internal memory only records 41sec. Please check the settings. If HD records are recorded to internal memory.

Going through the manual, I did not see any funtions that can record from TV to camcorder. I was hoping to find in "Dubbing" section but records only from memory card or the camcorder's internal memory. It is very common on most of DVD camcorders.
