Get off to a radio retailer and they should be able to provide a linking loom for new radio to any vehicle , costs very little saves a huge amount of time

SOURCE: I am having trouble getting power to my new cd

2 wires for power- one that is ALWAYS connected (remembers time, preset stations, etc.), and the other one you hook up to your ignition circuit (allows your radio to come on only when the key has been turned to ACC or RUN).

When you have wired this correctly, your radio will only come on when the ignition key is in ACC or RUN, and will ALSO remember the preset radio stations and the time, etc., when the key is turned off then back on again.

If you look at your fusebox, look for an ACC (accessory) junction that you can tap into. Also, don't forget that it's important to put a fuse in any wire you connect to a 12v+ source; don't rely on the fuse you are tapping into.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: i am trying install a cd player in a buick centry 2000 what do

You need an adapter for a double din to a single din radio. You can get these at almost any place that sells car audio. Yours is a common adapter they are about $15.

I have a 2002 buick centry. I recently installed a cd player. I forgot to put electrical tap on the wires. Now my gauges will not work & the cd player is not working. How can i fix this?

It sounds like you hooked your radio up to your dash lights, and you probably blew a fuse.
Perhaps you could remove the radio, since you know about it from putting it in, and go ahead and tape those wires.
The fuse should be under the dashboard.
God bless your efforts.

Where could i fond the wiring diagram for my Kenwood Excelon KDC-X592 Car CD/ MP3 Player?

There are vehicle - specific adapter plugs for after market radio hook ups. These adapters are used to connect the original plug that was connected to the original radio with the new radio's plug.

You didn't list what vehicle you have, year, model. You can do a web search with " (year and model of vehicle) radio wiring adapter".
Hopefully you'll find the adapter for your vehicle.

I have a kenwood stereo for 2000 saab 9-5. the tuner works but whenever i change it to cd you can no longer hear any music. it must be the wiring but i dont know which color wire is connected for the cd...

It sounds you are using an amplifier and using the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on) instead of the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on). Try hooking up the blue/white wire to turn your amp on. When leaving tuner mode, the blue wire shuts off, turning off the amplifier.

My boyfriend hooked up my speakers in my car to my cdx-gt200, now my cd player wont even come on. He never touched any of the connection wires for the player. At first he could not find the remote turn on...

change the fuse behind the system.
"so he hooked it up to the left front speaker wire, then found the remote turn on wire and hooked it up to it." will have burned the sound system or not. remove the new installation, test it, reinstall, test again.

I hooked up a new cd player in my blazer and it

I'm thinking you might have unplugged the switch for the 4 wheel drive switch mounted on the surround for the stereo, when you installed the CD player, or maybe broke something asscociated with that switch.

Installing in 2000 buick century

First off you are going to need a radio dash kit because the radio you are removing is a din1/2 wide and you will also need a wiring harness that connects to the factory wiring this website will help you get exactly what you need.

Im trying to install a cd player in my 2000 mazda protege but no store carrys the connector for it. i need to know what the factory wire color codes are so i can run the wires into the new cd player...

The player or radio coming out should have a sticker on it with a diagral. If not, the only two you need to worry about is the red and bla. They are the hot and grd. and are larger than the speaker wires. Get those two hooked up, put in a cd and turn it on. Then match up the speaker outputs to the correct speaker. Should be only one wire per speaker. If not, All speaker grounds are the same color and markings. Good Luc, Ned

Mounting CD player correctly.

you could try to see if the store that you bought it from has a faceplate or converter to hold it in place

(I have a 94 Buick Century, they don't make the model of cd player standard for that vehicle anymore.)

I unhooked the factory radio in my 1992 Buick Lesaber and am trying to hook in an after market cd player. i can get power to the cd player but no sound out of the speakers...please help me!!

the easiest way to install a aftermarket radio is with a adapter kit sold at most auto stores...such kits make all the wiring conversions for you....and save the hassle of tracing down every wire
