Question about GE Kitchen Ranges

What's the equivalent model no. of GE oven with Model no. GRSL3640ZWW-3

Maybe somebody might have an idea of my problem, the oven won't heat up at all including cleaning mode. Both of the elements are just cold and it just stay at 75 degrees in the control panel screen. Tried to check fuses for the oven but can't see one

If the elements are not heating ,there are some explanations
the thermostat for the oven is not working ( most probable)
the power to the elements is not switching on--- oven switch or a fuse is blown in the system or power board out side
won't be the power board if the rest of the stove is working
have an electrician check out the system

Testimonial: "Thanks Bill Boyd for the quick reply. This is the whole scenario, I've put the oven into the self clean mode 2 days ago and everything seems to be OK as usual. Then, suddenly I heard a loud pop looks like coming from the vent in one of the cooking coil and even see some sparkle inside the vent. From that time on the oven stop working."

self clean mode is where the element gets extra hot. It may be that the element was failing and burnt out. The pop is when the ceramic insulation inside the copper tube of the element virtually explodes exposing the wire of the element which then burns or blows just like a fuse. I would get a new element and have the system checked out electrically by an electrician to make sure that there was no other reason for the failure.

Check the internal ceramic fuse on the circuit board. Sometimes one section will work while another won't. I'm not sure if this model has a rear mounted thermal fuse, but the models with the inline thermal fuse will cause a similar issue.

Problem with the GE Spacemaker (JVM1640SJ) Microwave Oven GE Spacemaker XL1800 won't heat food anymore....It worked this morning, now won't heat. What should I do?

GE Will replace the magnetron for 9 years! Mine is a 2004 model with a one year warrently according to manual. HOWEVER they did say the magnatron was covered for nine years: call 888-239-6832. When I called they said thats all they get calls for and would send out in 3-5 days. NO CHARGE. I had to ask if there was coverage longer than a year on major parts and that's when they offered the info and I eventually was transferred to the right office. Saved $120 bucks on parts alone.

The bake ignitor has failed.Turn off the gas supply. Remove the racks. Then remove the bottom pan cover in the oven to access the ignitor. Place a amp meter on one wire of the ignitor.Turn the BAKE switch on. If it reads less than 3 amps, replace the ignitor.

Magnetron is done. This part heats the food. GE microwaves tend to have them stop working quite frequently. They basically make up the majority of the cost of the microwave, so instead of replacing the magnetron, you would be better off getting a new microwave.

GE MICROWARE WON,T HEAT UP

Likely problem: Blown magnetron. On microwaves, this can generally go dead, usually with a popping sound. Solution: A: Call an appliance repairman to replace the magnetron in the device, or B: buy a new microwave. Depending on how much you paid for it, you might be getting a better deal on either end.
