How to check service tag on supermicro servers

AFAIK Supermicro is not using Service tags like Dell or Lenovo. Instead they go by serial numbers. The location of the serial number depends on the type of the server:
Blade serial number (SBI... or SBA...) is located on the side
Blade Enclosure serial number (SBE...) is located on the rear side
CMM (chassis management module) serial number (SBM...) is located next to the latch
Rack-mountable chassis serial number is located on side of chassis by the sliding rail
4U Tower Chassis serial number sticker is located on the bottom side
Rack-mountable Systems' Serial Number is located at the rear side by I/O panel
Embedded Systems' Serial Number is located on the I/O panel

Bmw m42 engine to fit a camshaft sprocket to a camshaft

The M42 and M46 engines have the twin vanos pulleys and require locking tools to lock the crank and cam shafts inot the correct position. There are no timing marks on these as they are floating pulleys- ie they have no key locating the pulley in a specific position on the cam. Unless you make accurate marks during stripping there is very little chance you will be able to get the cam timing right on this engine without the cam locking tool kit.

Having trouble getting a Celestron Nexstar 114 to locate even guide stars? When I get an "alignment success" then pick an object, say m42 it takes off like it's looking for m42 but just keeps going and at...

Have you followed the instructions in the manual? The first thing to do is setup with the time, date and location, then select a 3 or 2 star alignment method to calibrate. Use ONLY the hand controller to move the scope to the stars.

M42 adaptor

Quite right too. When the M42 adaptor is fitted there is absolutely no exchange of information between the lens and the body: M42 lenses pre-date all of those later developments. Your camera will also be unable to stop down the lens automatically when taking the picture, most M42 lenses don't even stop down automatically when connected to an M42 body.

You need to do things the old-fashioned way. Your camera needs to be set to meter manually, shutter priority mode may also be used. In manual mode you focus the lens as normal with the aperture ring set to the lowest aperture number (i.e.aperture is wide open).
You then make sure that the lens in in manual mode as well and stop down to whatever you want, if the image remains bright enough then you can adjust the precise focus using the hyperfocal principle if you like which takes advantage of the increased depth of field of a stopped down lens.
In manual mode, you then tell the camera what aperture you have set (read it from the lens barrel) and set the shutter speed using the camera's light meter to guide you. If using shutter priority mode then the camera will choose the shutter speed for you.
Check everything is set as you intend and press the shutter.

It all sounds long winded but is exactly how many of the world's greatest photos were taken and soon becomes second nature. You also learn far more about the relationship between aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings and will be able to talk about reciprocity like you know about it!
