How can i clean the pump

Remove the lower kick panel that is located directly below the door. If this is a Frigidaire model, the pump will be located in the front under the drum. Some pumps have a clean out trap with a screw on cover. Most Frigidaire models and GE models do not, however. You will need to remove the rubber hose from the inlet side of the drain pump in order to access the pump impeller. This is usually the larger of the two hoses attached to the pump. There will be some residual water inside the wash tub that you will need to drain, or be prepared to clean up when you remove the hose. An easy way to get rid of the residual water is to use a wet/dry shop vac and pull a vacuum on the drain hose at the wall. This will pull and remaining water from the tub and drain lines. Otherwise, you will need to lay down some towels.

NOTE: It is normal to have residual water in the tub and drain lines.

If you are experiencing drainage issue and cleaning does not correct the problem, you will need to replace the drain pump.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Frigidaire front loader makes banging noises in spin cycle

hi there.......if this problem has just recently appeared...its quite possible that 1 of the tub suspension springs has broken resulting in the tub lying at an angle and causing this unbalance....you can check this by tilting the machine and looking at the tub susension points

During wash cycle the tub doesn't lock.

Lid lock may be damaged. Unplug, remove the front by the bottom 2 screws. Look at lid lock to see if it has overheated or damaged. Let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze

you dont need to buy the shaft, "spider".it has a lifetime warranty on the inner tub and should be replaced by frig. what you need is the entire tub as the shaft is not available seperately. if you cant get this under warranty then i would suggest buying a new unit as the outertub and bearings are what is worn causing your noise in spin. you may have to pay a warranty dealer to get the tub covered, but the whole job is very labor intensive and most people cant do it, even if you are good with tools. call frigidaire and see if they will cover the repairs first.

Worn outer tub

yea youl need to replace the tub alright, cgances are the bolts holding the inner tub to the transmission shaft have also broken off, which is why the inner tub spun off kilter and rubbed a hole in the outer tub,. the bolts (2 of them ) woulds have benn locking the inner basket to the tranny shaft, visible after removing the agitator

Frigidaire Gallery Model FWT449GF Tub issue

level and balance is very important for all machines. make sure it is firmly seated on floor and shipping bolts pins and brackets are removed (some have brackets inside.) the machine should be able to evenly distribute the load. finally the shock absorbers could be bad. (seems rare on frigidaire)

How do I fix my leaking washer machine

Lost, I'm afraid that the tub seal/bearing assy. is an extremely complex repair and should be referred to a pro. Not only for the reason of complexity, but they'll also put a warranty on their work. Now there IS a bright side to this if the unit is less than 5 years old. The transmission and seals have a 5 year warranty! You won't need your original proof of purchase/receipt. You will need your full model number and serial number, though. Then go to this site, http://www.frigidaire.com/support/support.asp and contact them. If your unit is more than 5 years old? Well, I advise my customers to replace the washer. Simply because the cost of the repair will far outweigh the overall value of the machine. Think of it this way... if your washer were in perfect condition at its' current age and you decided to sell it. What would you be able to sell it for? $125.00 max? This number should be the limit you'd be willing to spend for repairs. If you decide to replace it, look at the Whirlpool built units. Even the used ones are better made than the Frigidaire units. Hope this helps.
