hi your signal could be to strong, on the aerial cable the thin brad rap 4 strands around the center solid pin then retune in auto, if this does not work you may to manual tune it in, or get someone to check your aerial and you could try a firmware update on your tv hope it helps
if you want a manual fine tuned just go to set up menu then select preset and and then select manual fine tuned. select desired channel to tuned and then you can use the volume up/down button to manual search and tuned to the right frequency of the channel.
you can program the channel manually, just press the menu button in the tv panel. select preset and then manual fine tuning to tuned every channel you want to watch and then save it.to make a manual fine tuning, press manual then select channel you want to tuned and then press vol. up/down button to search right frequency channel.do this process in every channel you want to tuned. hope this can help.
You now need to find a channel on your TV that ins't used for anything else (eg an old vhs player or non-digital tv) then whilst on that channel you need to go into your TV's menu, there is often a button both on the remote and TV itself for this. This is where you turn on your N64 if you haven't already. You then will need to go onto automatic tuning (or if you prefer, manual tuning, in the programme section (if you dont have a programme section, just srcoll through each section till you find automatic tuning) your TV should then start to search for channels, after a little while of searching it should find the N64's frequency it may be a terrible picture that is mostly fuzz you can either carry on the tuning to see if it'll find it better or just head straight to fine tuning (if you decied to keep going you can still fine tune for the best picture quality possible and also if the TV doesn't find it just follow the previous steps till it locates the N64 again) once fine tuned you will need to store this new channel and then you can go ahead and enjoy countless hours of fun on the worlds best gaming console. (If the automatic tuning doesn't find the N64 at all try manual tuning). If you have any other issue with the console itself just drop me an e-mail at [email protected]. Hope I was a help.
Problem solved!!
According to the Sony website I needed to get a software download in order to fix this problem. I found out how to do this from the manual and realised that the re-tune menu I was looking at was for analogue only. The pictograms onmy remote control are a blurred but the manual helpfully provided a picture showing the correct program "info" button (next to 0) which has options to look at other things, including a "detailed set up" menu on the blue tab, which provides options for software download and re-tune of digital channels.
Incidentally, I discovered that my TV model was not quite as quoted above - it is KD-28DX200U, but expect the same process works for other oldish models.
Select the channel to tune & press "CH" this is the key to the right of zero on the CLE-942 remote, Now you can tune the selected channel. You also need this key to sort/move channels after running auto tune.
You havent listed your TV model but most Samsung sets that are digital will have A button on the remote marked DTV this will tell set to look at the digital chans.
Now try & go in to the menu & select tuning & scan the digital chans in.
One other thing are you in an area of the UK that can pick up digital channels without changing your aerial.
