SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Are air compressors and air tanks that are contaminated with PCBs 50 ppm regulated for use?

what a question
best get the exact answer from your local govt authorities

even if 50ppm was acceptable on compressors and air tanks
it would be wise to have the units cleaned and de- contaminated

Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs).......
PCBs can bioaccumulate in the fatty tissue of fish, birds, and mammals after entering through the lungs, skin, or gastrointestinal tract. They are suspected human carcinogens and have been shown to be teratogenic (i.e., capable of inducing mutations in the offspring of affected organisms).
in general
50ppm in certain situations and disposal requirements is the max
correct PCBs clean up procedure is in this link

Internal error CT aura philips

This appears to the Philips Medical Systems DICOM - CT Aura system.
since it is a medical equipment and concerns with human life, it is better to get professional help from the manufacturer or authorized service centers not such help boards.

It sounds like you need a new lens. This particular camera does not have an autofocus motor built in, which means it can only use lenses that have a motor already built in. Look for any Nikon lenses that have the AF-S in their name.

Amazon Search for "Nikon AF-S": http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Nikon+AF-S&x=0&y=0

This is also a good "general use" lens: http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-18-55mm-3-5-5-6G-AF-S-Nikkor/dp/B000LWJ1ES/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1298926690&sr=8-10

Hope this helps.

The freezer is working but the ref is not

dani, your defrost system is not working. Call the mechanic back and tell him to go through the defrost cycle. Since you have this listed as a generic problem, I can only tell you what to look for. You are going to have a defrost timer, either adaptive or mechanical. A bi-metal and a heater. He needs to put the refer into defrost and go from there. Tell him to ohm out the heating element on the evaporator to see if it is good. If that's good, then he needs to see if it is getting voltage while in defrost. If it's not getting voltage, its either the bi-metal or the defrost timer. Simple process of elimination. If the bi-metal checks out, then it's the defrost timer. If he charged you for changing out the thermostat, tell him to apply the wrong diagnosis to the right solution. Tenbears. If its a GE, let us know because you have a whole differnt ballgame there.
