It is not a backlights inverter problem; if you do have vertical lines on screen, it is a defective LCD panel, if it is horizontal lines, it may be defective LCD panel, or defective main digital board.

If you have the back off and have identified boards in question, after it warms up and starts malfunctioning take either canned air(preferred because it comes out cold) or the blower end of a vacuum cleaner and blow all over one board at a time to see if problem corrects. If cooling of a particular board corrects then that is your bad board. May not be the boards

Blurry at first then when it warms up the distortion goes away

Most of the Toshiba sets of this age had problems with a board inside that gives lines/noise left to right for several minutes and then clears up--as time goes on the warmup takes longer and longer---bad Hyper board with about 10 tiny surface mounted filter caps that dry out.

Part is not available and two options--either have a shop repair it or try it yourself---takes above average skill to remove board and replace all ten caps.

Shops will if they will attempt this usually get over 200 for the repair.

Close the system, make sure you have no leaks, wipe the lines down.(you are suppose to use a vacuum system).with the master filled have some one pump the clutch 3 times (they may have to help bring it up)hold the clutch and open the slave. fluid should drip. do this 3 time and you will get a pedal. If for some reason you dont get a pedal start with the master cyclinder.

How to replace clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder on 2000 hyundai accent?

Starting with the slave , remove the line going to slave then remove the two bolts holding it to the trany and install new one in reverse order, next is the master, from inside the car dissconnect the linkage arm, this is done by removing the clip pin and sliding arm off pedal pin, next remove the resivor and hose. leave hose on resivor remove from remove line from the master then remove the two bolts holding it to firewall, you may have to remove a few things to get the master out this all depends on if theres cruise and a vac valve in the way but this is easy to will need to remove the resivior also when installing new master, bolt it in and connect the linkage make sure the linkage is adjusted as close to the old one as you can leave the adjusting nut a little loose for know after it all connected leave line off and fill with brake fluid have someone inside to push pedal they may have to pull up so you the hand to push and pull pedal, next put your finger over the hole the line goes in and have them push pedal to floor the fluid will push through your finger, do this a few times but watch the fluid level so it doesnt empty, a few time is good then with pedal up remove finger and install line tight, refill with fluid, then have them pump peal three times and hold down, open bleeder at slave, close bleeder and pump pedal again and hold and open bleeder do this a few times until you have a good pedal you will see the slave push out. test the clutch if it works good tighten adjusting nut, if it grabs to soon or doesnt go into gear then adjust, hope this helps.johnjohn2_65.jpg

Clutch went to floor and would not come back up. Replaced the master cylinder and now it is leaking where the line goes into the slave cylinder

It is not uncommon to replace both items at the same time. There is no real fix other than doing just that. When you remove the line, inspect the flare for cracks and imperfections. If any are detected, You can cut and reflare the steel line which will take special tools. Usually can be rented/borrowed at local parts stores. If it is rubber, replace the line. When you replace the slave, bleed the same as when you replace the master. Be sure to gravity bleed first, which means: open the bleeder and allow the brake fluid/clutch fluid to drain for a few minutes which will reduce the amount of air and ease in bleeding.

The tube harnesses may be a little loose and when tube warms they short. Try adjusting the wiring harnesses. (Only attempt to do so if you have electronics knowledge.)
