no PC stated, full model off the service tag.
no OS stated.
freq. where seen ? where did you see that in BIOS?

my guess is you have a PC that is setup to save energy
the Processor and OS , use only that amount of energy that is demanded. to save the earth from CO2 destruction (GREEN)
AKA as ENERGY start.
if you dont like it turn it off.

here is one example.
running Notepad(tm) why burn 100watts, and 8 cores online
to type the word "hello"
bingo?
A laptop is even more power wise,to save the battery from too soon discharging and longer RUN TIMEs.

or I totally did not understand your question at all.
in fact , im not really sure.

What button or symbol tells you state of battery and why does device start to shut down when in use

There is a limit on how long a battery will last uncharged and how many times you can charge it. My TOMTOM will not charge any more. But while in the car I keep it connected to the power all the time and I have no problems. On my unit you have to go through the menu to see the battery charge state. Press on the left side and a window comes up and has batter charge state on it. Never charges up any more sat in glove box for years and never charged back up. Dead. But I dont think you will have a problem if you keep power plugged into it.

Toshiba satellite l305d-s5934 Won't charge battery dont power On

POWER SUPPLY & BATTERY PROBLEM
If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

My alternator has been changed out twice and my battery also. we can drive shortly about 8 min if the radio and lights are off. but if on will go 100 feet if even. the shops want me to do this again but i...

Sounds like you need to go to a different mechanic!! First things first. Your Battery is probably in a very low state of charge. This is why you can only drive a few minutes before it dies. A fully charged battery will give you much more driving time than 8 minutes. Now what you need to do is have the battery brought up to full charge. Once this is done then the charging system can be checked accurately. Keep in mind if the battery is in a low state of charge the alternator can be damaged because it has to work very hard to try to charge the battery. This may explain the frequent failure. If the charging system is ok then a key off draw test should be performed. You may be draining the battery when the vehicle is off due to a draw on the battery. Lastly if the quality of the alternator that is being put in your vehicle is substandard this may be a problem as well. All aftermarket parts are not equal!! If the alternator needs to be replaced then be sure to put a quality brand in your car. Make sure the battery is fully charged before doing so as not to damage a new part. Although charging system problems are fairly easy to diagnose the mechanic doing it must be fully trained in doing so or repeat failures are guaranteed. Hope this helps

Car and lawn tractors will start with booster cable and run. Once the ignition is turned off need a booster again. What is the problem. Batteries are showing charge?

lead acid (auto) type batteries cannot be left in a discharged state very long without damage ...if they have been discharged awhile then they will recharge but at greatly refuced capacity ... sometimes they can be recovered but usually its perminant damage .. even if the batteries can be saved it would still take several hours to recharge ...so leaving it on a charger overnight will show you if its a lost cause or not ...you can have the batteries "load tested" usuallly at auto parts stores for free .....they should be fully charged first to save time ...lead acid batteries should always be kept in a state of full charge ...never store them in a discharged condition or allow them to selff discharge (a discharged battery will freeze over the winter) ... charging once a month should keep them healthy .. more often in a car since the computer draws current all the time .. if you have a regulated charger then you can leave it connected all the time for storage ...high resistance battery connectios will have the same effect .. so remove and clean the battery terminals to eliminagte that possibility ... you can have your alternator tested at most auto parts stores ..usually free .. if you have maintainable batteries then check the water level . dont over fill .. use distilled water ...if your charging systems are ok then it sounds like you need new batteries ...

The device does not pick up current location. It defaults to a location 700km away from where I am. Also, the time is incorrect - how do I change the time.

i dont see a brand so i will give a genrealized answer.
By current location i assume the opening screen display reverts to a default location which is what location it was initially set at or is a default in the unit. Most GPS give you an option to set Your STATE and home location. this is usually in SETTINGS Menu. The time and data are also changable inthe same area using you country location and then the State and any daylight savings offset that might apply. These are sometimes, volatile as there is no power to keep these settings alive when in off mode only in standby mode. the button on front of unit. If the master on/off is selected your settings weill revert back to default so its wise to keep it well charged if you use it every day and want to maintain your preferred settings. Hope that helps you

Book calls 6 hrs ,there must be a better way to do this in less time?

That is most likely the shop time stated in the book. If you want to save money you can get a Haynes manual and some tools and do it yourself.

You should be able to buy all of the tools, the manual and some beer (for afterwards) and a front end alignment (too hard to do yourself) for about 1/2 of what the stealership will charge you.

A good mechanic can do this in 1/2 the shop time stated

You could also get some other quotes.

LIfe of batteries

make sure with any lithium ion battery operated device, that you drain the battery completely when you first get it and then charge it the maximum number of hours it states in the manual. To avoid over charging, don't charge it again until that full charge is once again depleted. This will give you maximum battery power
