SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: Betacam SP VTR problem - CVR-75

First look under your console there is a timer with display, check T2 and if it is more than 3000h(300x10) you'll have to replace the upper drum. But FIRST;FIRST you need a service manual specially volumen 2 its the same for sony BVW75.
Next you need two extender boards, two channel osciloscop with two probes and if its possibile test tapes. As you described you have problem in luma chain, one of heads is or dead or its signal is too low.You can check it on DM56 board TP3 as I remember and second probe is trigering on TP901.You should get 0,7volts packetes for two heads(DT select to OFF)adjusting for ch-A is RV3,and for ch-B RV4.Step2 is to set DT select to VAR and check 0,7volts on same TP.Adjusting is RV2 for ch-A and RV7 for ch-B.Then go to TP101 on same board and adjust Y AGC output level to 1V with RV101
Same procedure is for the chroma chain TP505 DT select to OFF.Chroma level is 0,6V and adjusting is RV502 for ch-A and RV505 for ch-B.Set DT select to VAR and check 0,6V.Adjusting is RV501 for ch-A and RV504 for ch-B.Then go to TP508 and adjust C AGC output to 1V with RV512.Trigering is TP902

All adjustements are in playback mode with aligment tape CR5-1B PS playing flat field signal
All measurements are with osciloscope
If you can't get those values replace upper drum and try again (you'll need micrometer to center it)
If pockets are not streight (have deformations) you have to do tape run alignment
I repeat NOTHING of these can be done without extender board

not worth it as it indicates mechanism problem related to power circuit in the unit--not to mention no parts are available for this unit.

I have a pair of kicker cvr 124 with a kole 1500 watt amp that is bridged to the woofers. the amp is 385 rms at 2 ohms where should the gain be to get the most power without distortion.

When setting your gain you want to set the gain high usually between 75% to 95%. if the gain is low than turning up the volume on your radio will only amplify the distortion coming from the under powered head unit. By turning up the gain you are maximizing the signal that is amplified coming from your head unit

My ampex 5.1 channel home theater speaker system switches off after approx. 30minutes of play and has an in built FM reciever that doesn't work i.e doesn't get reception

Possible there are DRY SOLDER JOINTS within the main board and so when the set heats up there is a connection loss which makes the set switch off. Remove panel and try to work the set while cooling with a fan , touch to see if any section like power-amps gets hot. If so observe with a magnifier and solder.
Check the external antennae connection to the system, if this seems ok then the RF end/ signal processor is faulty which might need a trace with technical help.

I have 2 12 in kicker cvr tryna drop to lower ohm

http://www.colomar.com/Shavano/dvc_spkr_wiring.html

Use the above site for several wiring schematics on dual voice coil speaker hookups. It will show how to wire for different impedance.
Also, I think the CVR 12's come in 2 ohm and 4 ohm impedance. See if you can check yours to determine which you have....
