Cd/dvd player palys audio discs but if put dvd in says disc importer has stopped. have vista basic

Is this a copy of a movie?

try to find a rewritable media that is compatible with your player, like it can read recorded dvd disc . some dvd plyer dont have capable of reading photo cd, recorded disc, burned disc etc. maybe your player is the one like that.

try put a vcd disc or cd audio disc, if it reads, then your lens subject for replacement, partially burnt.

the motor went bad in the drive if its not even trying to spin the disc. The only option at this point is to get the drive replaced.

The CD is in a format which can only be played on Audio players.check the file extention of the audio files on the computer.It should be played on the computer if they are .mp3 files.

try isolating the problem by plugging an external cd/dvd drive via the USB. use this to burn CD/DVD if the process works, replace your laptop dvd drive.

It should not matter if it is a DVD or CD, because the CRAIG CVD327 palys both. It must be some other problem. Also, use the button and not the remote.

This unit has a problem when playing dual-layer discs of some kinds - read the warnings on the Magnavox website - playing the wrong kind of disc will cause an error that will require svc/repalcement to fix

I've got the same problem, I turn my player on it's side until it reads the disc. more of a band-aid solution.
