Question about Frigidaire Dishwashers

1 Answer

I'm getting a constant continual error code 49 on the three-digit LED display. No other indicator lights are active, and it does not respond to pressing or holding any of the buttons.

Model FGID2466QF1A. Initially, the error code was 36 with the same description as above. I tried pressing and holding a few random combinations of buttons, but couldn't elicit a response, so I flipped the breaker, waited for about a minute, then flipped it back on. When the power came back on, the display read PR for a few moments, as expected, then went blank with no indicator lights, also as expected. I set the load, closed the door, waited a moment, and when I pulled it back open, the display read 46 or 48 don't remember which, but it was definitely either 46 or 48. I hit a button, and it changed to 49 and has been stuck there ever since. I suppose it could have been 49 and not 46 or 48 because the LED display isn't perfect. For instance, when it read 36, at a quick glance, it intermittently looked like a weird, curly "d" followed by a six because the lower left LED segment seemed to be partially illuminated. It's also worth noting that between each of the steps above, I made sure that there was nothing protruding below the grates and all potential sensors that I could think of remained clear. The door seems to seal and latch properly, as well. It's a new machine ~4 months old and all of the "user-facing" parts seem tight and pristine.

Hello Janusz, thank you for your post!

I understand that you are receiving an error code of multiple different numbers on your Frigidaire dishwasher. From what you describe it sounds like a possible issue with your sensor or control panel. Since the numbers are jumping around at different time's maybe the sensor inside of your dishwasher is picking up different signals from your control panel. In order to locate the accurate cause of your problems you would need to disconnect your dishwasher and test each electrical component. This is not a simple DIY job and I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

A blinking red and yellow Status LED will indicate an Error Code that can help determine the cause of a circuit
failure.
• The number of Red blinks indicates the value of the (tens digit) of the Error Code.
• The number of Yellow blinks indicates the value of the (ones digit) of the Error Code.
Example: If the Error Code is "37", the LED will continuously blink Red three times, followed by blinking Yellow
seven times.

Zanussi washing machine fs1255w green end light flashes 5 times what is this error code

Press START/PAUSE and any one of the option buttons
simultaneously for at least two seconds: the LEDs first switch off,
and then display the flashing sequence corresponding to the
alarm condition.
Examples:
Alarm E43 (problems with the door safety interlock triac) will be displayed as follows:
• four flashes of the END OF CYCLE LED indicate the first digit E43;
• three flashes of the START/PAUSE LED indicate the second digit E43;
So, error code E55 as you specified does not exist. Any how, family error code 5 (first digit) means problem with motor. Error code could be E51,E52,E53 and E54.
Possible causes:
- faulty motor
- motor brushes (very often)
- faulty tachometer (integrated in the motor but is replaceable)
- faulty electronic (Motor power triac short-circuited or motor relay contacts sticking).

What does a blinking orange light on 65" Mitsubishi dlp rear projection TV mean?

Self Diagnostics

The V18 Chassis features Self Diagnostics to aid in troubleshooting problems that may cause the set to

automatically turn off or "shut down." The "Timer/Power ON LED" provides an indication of the sets operation,

and the possible cause of a malfunction.

1. Initial Control Circuitry Check

Immediately after the TV is connected to an AC power source:

• The LED flashes three times ... indicating the Microprocessor has initialized and is functioning

properly.

• If the LED does not flash ... the Microprocessor is NOT functioning.

2. Error Code Operational Check

To activate the Error Code Mode, while the set is OFF, press the front panel "INPUT" and "MENU" buttons

at the same time and hold for 5 seconds. The LED will flash denoting a two digit Error Code.

Note: The Front Panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.

• The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.

• The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.

• The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.

• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.

Example: For Error Code is "24", the LED will flash 2 times, pause, and then flash 4 times.

3. Error Codes

The Error Code designations indicating a malfunction, or no malfunction, are listed below:

"12" ... indicates no error has occurred.

"21" ... X-Ray Protect circuit.

"22" ... Short Protect circuit.

"23" ... Horizontal Deflection failure.

"24" ... Vertical Deflection failure.

Machine stopped mid cycle and green light flashing under green start button

Many modern washing machines display error codes if they detect a fault, but not all washing machines display a readable error code, some indicate an error by flashing, or lighting some of the lights.

Hotpoint, Indesit, Zanussi error codes

Hotpoint, Indesit washing machines and Zanussi washing machines are some common appliances that display coded error codes. On their more expensive models, they display readable error codes but basic models (without digital displays) use flashing lights to convey the error fault code.

If your washing machine malfunctions and you can see some of the lights flashing, or one or more option lights have lit up, then make a note of which lights are flashing and which option lights are lit. NOTE: the error code list engineers have only shows the option lights by number and not by name. Therefore you need to report the lights as LED 1 and 3, or 2 and 4 etc. and NOT "delay timer" and "extra rinse". Count the lights from the left (or from the top if in a column) and report as "led 1 and 3" etc.

No Option lights?

With basic washing machines that have no option indicator lights, count the number of flashes. For example, the door locked indicator may flash 7 times, pause, and flash another 7 times in a constant cycle which would indicate error code 7.

This information is vital, and needs mentioning when reporting a fault.

I have a motorola AP-300 which keeps on blinking amber light when i turn it on. how can i reset it or what's wrong with the AP?

From the installation guide for this AP, I find the following:

LED Indicators

The unit has LED activity indicators on the front of the case provide a status display indicating error conditions, transmission, and network activity for the 802.11a (amber) radio or the 802.11b/g (green) radio.

802.11a Activity LED Amber

The amber LED flashes three times per second until firmware is loaded. During boot, 802.11a mobiles cannot associate. After adoption, the amber LED is steady or flashes with 802.11a radio traffic.

The amber LED flashes once per second if an error prevents the 802.11a radio from operating normally.

802.11b/g Activity LED Green

The green LED flashes three times per second until firmware is loaded. During boot, 802.11b/g mobiles cannot associate. After adoption, the green LED is steady or flashes with 802.11b/g radio traffic.

The green LED flashes once per second if an error prevents the 802.11b/g radio from operating normally.

From this, it appears that the 802.11A radio is malfunctioning.

Here is the Motorola support web page for this device.

Need codes for rcr 460 remote

1. Manually turn on the component
you want the remote to control
(TV, VCR, DVD, satellite receiver
or cable box).
Note: If you press an invalid key
during the Manual Code Search,
the remote does not respond and
the LED indicator light does not
blink. If you do not press a valid
Manual Code Search key (TV,
VCR, DVD, SAT·CBL, ON·OFF,
GO BACK), the search times out
after two minutes. When the
search times out, the LED
indicator light blinks four times
and turns off. The last
programmed code under that
component key is retained.
2. Press and hold the component key
(TV, VCR, DVD, SAT·CBL) you
wish to program. The LED indicator
light turns on and remains on.
3. While holding the component
key down, press and hold the
ON·OFF key. The LED indicator
light turns off.
4. After holding down both keys
for three seconds, the LED
indicator light turns back on.
5. Release both keys. The LED
indicator light remains on.
Throughout the
programming of each key, be sure
to keep the remote pointed at the
IR sensor of the component you
are currently programming the
remote to control.
6. Press and release the ON·OFF key
repeatedly until your component
turns off. Each time you press the
ON·OFF key, the LED indicator
light blinks, and the next code in
the list is sent. This process
continues until all of the codes in
the Code Lists have been searched.
If your component turns off, you
have found the correct code. (If it
cycles through and the LED
indicator light blinks four times
and turns off, all codes have been
searched. The Manual Code Search
method is exited.)

Press Stop when TV turns off.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525. This morning my TV would not turn on so I pressed the rest button. After the Timer light stopped blinking I pressed power. I could hear the fans start than a somewhat loud...

the status light blinking red means a fan (the unit hs 4 of them) has failed. you need to determine which one. use the self diagnostic function:
Error Code Operational Check
Note:
The TV must be in “Shut Down” and not manually switched Off, to perform the Error Code Operational
Check. When the TV is switched Off, the code automatically resets to “12” No Error.
Press the front panel “DEVICE” and “MENU” buttons at the same time, and hold for 5 seconds to
activate the Error Code Operational Check. The LED will then flash denoting a two digit Code.
Example: If the Error Code is “32”, the LED will flash three times, pause, and then flash two times.
• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.

and read the code.
35= Chassis Fan failure
36 =Exhaust (Back Cover) or Lamp Ballast Fan failure
37= Engine (DMD or Lamp) Fan failure
