Hey Armando! You may be looking at the recent tab while answering questions. This tab contains all questions that have had any recent activity, such as new answers or people clicking the want answer button, commenting, etc...

If you would like to see only unanswered questions click the unanswered tab. For example, if you visit http://www.fixya.com/answer/answerpagelistview.aspx?filter=3 you will only see unanswered questions.

Hope that helps, but please leave me a comment if I may have misunderstood your problem and I can help further troubleshoot.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: FIXYA NOT PAYING PEOPLE?!

Unknown. I stopped answering the Premium questions as it seemed there were so many people jumping on them. I find I get more satisfaction in the freebie areas.
Do you have any where you were given the credit for it and not received money? I can't help but wonder if they think they get the money just for posting an answer as opposed to posting THE answer the customer selected? Interesting to find out about this even if I'm not in it for the bucks.

SOURCE: How are answered ranked? I see that some answers

Hi fixyamaster,The solutions that receive the most Thumbs Up are usually at the top. However, since the asker's vote is weighted proportionally higher in the displayed rating, a question that has actually received many Thumbs Ups from other users will have a lower displayed rating if the asker gave it a low vote. See this Tip of mine for more details on our rating system: How FixYa's Ratings Work Please feel free to contact our Support Team directly at: http://www.fixya.com/contact

I asked a question how do I get an answer

when you ask a question first consider if it can be answered on this website. second include any information that may be helpful to the people who try to answer your questions please. if you are asking about payments or buss passes this isnt the place to ask about things like that. many people simply do not put enough information in the question.

Why is jeff armer answering questions. His answer to most people is see a repair man most of us can not afford that. we are looking for trouble shooting answers to help us.

people who answer questions on fixya site are well aware of the reasons that people come here to ask questions
WE are also well aware that the people who ask the questions firmly believe that a reset button fixes the problem, that they have the ability to know how to fix a tv with out any training, how to fix a car by replacing everything and generally do not use common sense when approaching a problem
The best place to start is to talk with a repair man to get a diagnosis of the problem first, have the fault codes read first, or simply step back and think what about the problem may be
May answers are close , some are spot on and others are looking outside the square and give a direction to the answer
We all say go to a repair shop as that is the first place to go and it generally doesn't cost to simply ask a question and if it does then that is not a place to go for repairs
Remember, if you bother to read associated answers to questions , you will see that in most cases , people who answers need a crystal ball, because the questions are --simply put--rather poorly asked so are directed to a repair shop

Do I continue to keep this web page open for expected answer, or do I await answer by email??

If you made a question, presume about a Philips AZ302 CD-MP3 Soundmachine, you should be notified by Fixya if you have an answer.
If you don't get an answer, maybe your queston was too confused or maybe so one of those who read it could give you a good anser, so, try to reformulate it, make it clear and short.
Many people simply won't even read those PAGE LONG questons

First I need to know if there is a charge for this ...

No. Fixya is a community of people trying to help people. You can ask questions or help provide answers. No charge. Just nice people trying to help. Sometimes your questions are answered quickly and at other times, a little more research have to be done in order to give the most helpful or correct answer. I hope this answer helps because it's true.

I want my old yahoo back this new one ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! help

Try changing to the lowest screen resolution to see if Yahoo prompts you to return to Classic Mail. This fix has worked for some people, but not for everyone.

The best way to get yourself returned to Mail Classic is to contact Yahoo directly. I have offered this advice to several people, but the email contact that I have doesn't seem to do anything for them.

The new Yahoo Mail is full of bugs, hence the reason many people want to switch back.

To contact Yahoo, go to their help pages, and type in Return to Mail Classic. You will not find anything useful there, but you can contact Yahoo support from that page.

I have checked the answers to returning to Mail Classic, but the answers are from when returning was an option.

    Good luck.

I dont beleive i cannot attain a 80% answer rate and keep it.I think fixya wants me to answer these problems and not put me on the leaderboard--I have answered genuinely and without a fee for around 640...

Though I can understand your frustration, I am sure it is through no fault of the FixYa staff. I too struggle with keeping an 80% answer rate, even though I answer both genuinely and in description, and even follow up with the people who rate me poorly or comment back. For what it's worth, I find that I have a higher chance of getting a thumbs up from someone who answers the question after me rather than the original asker.

Though this truly isn't a solution to your problem, my best advice is to simply keep trying, and hope for the best. Good luck my friend!
