My fantom Fm310K picks up dirt, but it continues to plug up. the canister does not get the dirt.

The dirt is most likely getting caught somewhere between the nozzle housing and the canister. You must try figure out where it's getting clogged.

I have a Fantom Thunder TH469KA and it shuts off after 5-10 min of running How do I fix this?

on all vacuum cleaners the air flow cools the motor. If the filter is sufficiently clogged there would not have enough air flow to cool the motor and trips out from over heat. Clean out the filter thoroughly and try again.

My fantom vacuum stopped sucking stuff up

Most likely there is a clog, either in the 'knuckle' between the power head and the wand, or in the connection where the hose comes into the canister. In either case, unplug the hose and you should plainly see it.

Not sucking makeing a clogged noise

Bagless vacuums don't usually get clogged as easily as standard bag styles do. However, if you can disconnect the top half from the brush head section you should see a "neck" where the two meet, check there for a clog. Also check your filters, this is where loss of suction happens most. Dirty filters = Low Suction. I hope this helps

Here is the owners manual which goes over some troubleshooting problems.

http://www.fantom.com/fantom/manuals/Cyclone.pdf

At first I would think it was the thermal overload, which is covered in the manual. But I would guess that you have let it sit for 30 minutes to cool down and tried again and the vacuum still didn't work.
I would think you may have one of four problems.
1. Your thermal overload was tripped and is stuck and will need replaced.
2. You have a clog in your vacuum lines or the brush roller is froze, which keeps causing the thermal overload to trip.
3. Your power cord has a short, which would need replaced.
4. Your power switch is bad, which would need replaced.
Out of these 4 possible problems I would say the only one you could fix on your own would be problem #2. Make sure the vacuum is unplugged and take the brush roller off and clean it, make sure it moves free. Check your vacuum lines to make sure you do not have a clog, other wise the motor does not get air flow to cool it down causing the thermal overload to trip. As for problem 1, 3, and 4 I would suggest taking it to a repair shop.
Hope this helps, post back.
