Question about Garden

1 Answer

By connecting the battery directly to the motor I can get the motor to run. But the switch does not turn it on. Does it need a new switch or is there something else I can try first?

When I turn on the switch the voltmeter registers, so I know there is power there, but the motor does not start.

My cub cadet CC30 do not start, it is new, the battery is fully charged, when i try to start do not make a sound ,looks like the power does not go to the start

Battery connection good, starter connection, ignition switch ok?
Also check the safety switch on the bar that you hold while running unit. If that switch is not working, neither will the mower.

Go direct from the battery to the starter motor - if it runs then the in between circuitry is bogus.

E100 scooter wont run. Battery fully charged, 24v across terminals. Motor runs fine when connected directly to battery power. On-off power switch, breaker switch, brake unit switch, accelerator all checked...

It is possible the new controller is defective, however just because the voltage is showing 24v it may not be outputting the correct amount of amps so don not rule out batteries before checking the following:
To test a battery you need to 'load test' so (with help) connect the battery directly to the motor when weight is on the scooter to see if it will still pull.
Please also remember that you do have to push the e100 to 3mph before starting (many users do not know or forget this step)

Light gos on but motar does not turn

check for loose wires. take the wires loose from the switch and connect the battery directly to the motor. if the motor runs you have a bad switch.

My sons razor e200 dies quickly. I have changed the batteries, brought a new charger. I have checked the connectors and the tires are not flat The light is green but after 25 yds, turns and says needs to...

Problem is not the batteries then. Replace the controller. The controller could be resisting some of the charging current to the battery.

But first try this:

Charger the scooter with it OFF

Directly connect the charger to the battery

If still the same problem then:

Directly connect the charger to the battery then,
connect the motor leads directly to the battery and see how long it runs. It with new the batteries it should run longer than a minute. If it does than something is definitively wrong with the controller.

Have a 1992 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer Tailgate window motor problem

I looked at my schematics, and they don't show a relay. They do, however, show two ground wires coming out of the tailgate window switch. There is a ground wire for the "up" side of the switch, and a ground wire for the "down"side. These would be color-coded black, and I think that it is worth checking to make sure you don't have a corroded /broken ground running from the tailgate switch. If only one grounding wire was broken, the window would operate in only one direction. Both dash and tailgate switches share the same wiring circuit, and these wires are "hot" all the time. It's normal when you get both sides of the motor leads at 12VDC when neither switch is activated. These switches function by switching off one of the two motor leads, and connecting it to ground, thus allowing power to flow thru the motor windings. Of course, reversing the polarity on a DC motor will change the direction of rotation, so changing which black lead is switched to ground gives the up or down direction to the motor.. since you can read schematics, you might check out ebay for a used Haynes manual cheap. hope this helps

1985 dodge passinger van, blower motor don't run. Fuse is good and motor runs if connected direct to 12 volt battery. What else is in the circuit?

I could be in the switch, had this problem on a ford truck once, all fuses were good, and when you hooked hot wire to blower motor it would run full speed, so I checked the switch in the dash with a volt meter, when i turned the switch I got no power coming out of it,,, hope this helps

Recliner only work on one side

bad seat recliner motor, cable connection to the motor, track is jammed, out of oil, or bad electrical connection to the motor.

To test the motor, run 12v directly to the motor from the battery. Switch the positive and negative around to test both directions. Nothing happening---bad motor. If if works, then you gotta tract the wires and connections from the relay to the motor. That's why it's costs $120/hr for THEM to fix it. Removal of the seat isn't too hard and makes it easier to troubleshoot the motor, cable, and connections.

Or.............buy a new seat for $850 on craigslist/ebay!
