Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

there is a defected capacitor in the vertical circuit trouble shoot and replace. or if the vertical circuit is separate then replace the whole board.good luck

Yes,usually there's two particular capacitors, maybe even 3. If not, then I would go with a Y Main Board since the tv will give error codes if the Y Buffer uper and lower boards have no power and therefore cause no picture, sound, and an error code.

The Tuner signal board have problems. The board CPU,Chip, have intermitten short. When the chip is completely dead. The tv will get only LED light indicator power only, will not get tv signal pictures.

SOURCE: Half TV screen is black
you have a bad Y Sustain board or X Sustain board
undo the back (if you know how to deal with electronics) and with the TV unplugged disconnect one of the board and turn on, see if works or not and try with the other one till find out wich one is.
