Water level problem

Water level is not visible at all, there's just enough to get the laundry wet.

RUN THE MACHINE EMPTY OF ALL CLOTHES. THE WATER LEVEL CAN BE SEEN EVEN THOUGH IT IS LOW.

THESE MACHINES ONLY MAINTAIN ONE WATER LEVEL.

Testimonial: "Water level is less the a gallon barely visible. How can the laundry get rinsed if there is no water to remove the soap. How can clothes get clean and rinsed with out at least three or more gallons of water?"

  • Jeffrey Keatley Apr 06, 2015

I never measured the amount of water by gallons since there is no way to do that. water level should be a couple of inches below the front lip of the tub, or about 3 or 4 inches deep at it's deepest part. These machines use very little water and if you are telling me that the water level in your machine (with no clothes in it) is only 1 inch deep, you do have a problem. You never see standing water in these machines with clothes in them. I am only trying determine whether your machine is functioning correctly. Water level you can see is not a good barometer. How long have you had this machine? and is it only recently that you are having issues?

What is amount of water top loader use?

Just enough water to cover the clothes. As the clothes get wet, they will settle. The least amount of water needed to do the job will also save the amount of expensive laundry detergent. So regardless of the wash size setting, watch it and go to the next part of the cycle manually to avoid more water, and hence, more detergent needed. Only put enough detergent to make the water slippery, and no more. You can tell this by simply feeling the water and rubbing your thumb and fingers together.

LG WD12020D Inverter Direct Drive 7.5kg front loader. Has never had visible water level in the drum. I have even stopped the machine, turned off the power, waited for the door to unlock, pushed the wet...

No water that high. But you may have an extra water button that allows you to add slightly more water to each wash load. Water should be just above bottom of inside drum in the back of the drum as it rotates

Not enough water to wet all the clothes.

Either the water level switch has bad calibration or the water level tube has lost its air seal and needs to be refitted and air locked. If you do not know how to go about these tasks, call someone with experience. Goodluck, Macgivor

Water level too low. clother wet. No water visible or suds. What is wrong.

Your expectations are based on top load washers.
Front load washers use only a very little water, and suds are an enemy. (HE soaps are designed to clean without suds. Suds are really for show and cause drag on the wash tub during spin.) If you start a load with no clothes, you will see that the water level never gets above a couple inches in the tub. That is the correct water level for front loading machines. PS. Because of the low water use, make sure you use very little soap. (one to two tablespoons per load only!)

Not enough water per load the cloths get wet but there is no water floating in the drum should there be water visible on the door?

not really...that's the point of these washers..low water usage. the clothes fall into a small puddle in the bottom over and over and rinse often.

Can I make the water level on my whirlpool duet washer higher?

its because of the design of the machine they are water efficient.a front load uses any where from 15 to 18 gals. compared to 40 to 50 gals.for a top load. they also have a higher spin rate than the top loader, therefore making your close dryer and having a less drying time in the dryer.energy efficient too!!
