Black and decker electric mower wont start

Check and see if the battery is actually charged. If the battery sits run down all winter they have a habit of not holding a charge. and needs replacing.

Mower sat over the winter. Turn key and nothing

Neither ... charge the battery first. New doesnt necessarily mean fully charged.

Charge it with a properly sized charger for 24 hours then check with a volt ohm meter.

My lawn mower wont start . do the batt need to be charged

Is this a serious question. If you have not run the machine all winter and did not take the battery out when you stored it than yes charge the battery.

Wont start

Your battery is junk. Replace it.
Lead/acid batteries lose about 1% of their charge per day, so in 90 days of non-charging they are basically discharged. This is a bad thing. When winter comes, put a smart trickle charger on it, or at least once a month put a non-smart trickle charger on it for a couple hours or an afternoon so you keep it charged up.
I love/hate batteries.

B&D battery lawn mower - winter care

Hi, it depends on the age of the battery. if it's new no ploblem depending on the age you may have to give it a trickle charge in jan.

If this doesn’t work for you please write back. Thanks,
