You may want to have it check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes . A code may point to the problem , these HVAC systems are very complex .
DTC B0248, B0268, B0408, B0418, B0428, or B3531
The HVAC door actuator is an electronic motor with a feedback potentiometer. The HVAC control module supplies power and ground to the actuator. The HVAC control module controls the direction of the actuator by changing the polarity of the control circuit. When the actuator reaches the desired position, voltage is removed from the control circuit. The HVAC control module determines the current position of the actuator by monitoring the feedback voltage of the door position signal circuit. The feedback potentiometer position is a function of the actuator position.

No heat. New thermastat, heater core flushed, good circulation. Has a rear heater.

Does blower motor work , air blowing out of ducts ?
Temperature blending is varied by the air temperature control door, which regulates the amount of air that flows through and/or around the heater core (18476) , where it is then mixed and distributed.
Movement of the control knob from COOL (Blue) to WARM (Red) causes a corresponding movement on the air temperature control door and determines the temperature that the system will maintain.
Temperature Control
The temperature control operates in the following manner:
  • Temperature control of the heater system is determined by the position of the temperature control knob (between COOL-BLUE and WARM-RED) of the heater control .
  • This control knob is connected to a potentiometer mounted in the heater control . This potentiometer is electrically connected to the electric blend door actuator that operates the A/C air temperature control door.

Where is a air temperature control sensor in a 2004 GMC Canyon located at

There is none on your vehicle , temperature control is by a cable .There is a evaporator temperature sensor , this is used to keep the evaporator from freezing up !
Air Temperature Control The air temperature control regulates the HVAC system air temperature in any mode. An air temperature control cable mechanically links the air temperature control to the air temperature door.
Evaporator Temperature Sensor The evaporator temperature sensor will not allow an A/C request to the body control module (BCM) at temperatures less than 0°C (32°F).

Where is the air and heat blend motor on a 2000 dodge dakota?

Hi Sharon, I'm glad to help. Your 2000 year doesn't have a motor for the temp door. It operated by a cable running from the control head to the temp door and you work it manually. If you can't control the temperature from hot to cold, sometimes the cable come off or breaks. Here how you can see the cable to see if its working. Remove the radio and right behind it you will see the cable attached to the door, while watching it move the temp lever from hot to cold and watch it. If it is moving then its most likely out of ajustment. If it is not moving, then you'll need a new cable. Just in case it is moving, I'm attaching the instruction on how to adjust it below. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Sharon!

TEMPERATURE CONTROL CABLE

Any time the heater-A/C control or the temperature control cable are removed and/or replaced, the following procedure must be performed.
  1. The temperature control cable housing and core must be installed at both the heater-A/C control and the heater-A/C housing ends, and the heater-A/C control must be installed in the instrument panel. See Heater-A/C Control and Temperature Control Cable in the Removal and Installation section of this group for the procedures.
  2. Rotate the temperature control knob on the heater-A/C control so that the knob pointer is in the 12 o'clock position.
  3. Pull the temperature control knob straight out from the heater-A/C control base until the perimeter of the knob (not the knob pointer) protrudes about 6 millimeters (0.25 inch) from the face of the control base.
  4. Rotate the temperature control knob to the 1 o'clock position. Push in on the knob slightly and continue rotating the knob to its full clockwise stop. The knob pointer should be aimed at a position about 8 millimeters (0.315 inch) beyond the end of the graduated red strobe temperature control graphic on the face of the heater-A/C control base. If the knob is not pointed to the correct position, go back to Step 2 and repeat the adjustment procedure.
  5. Rotate the temperature control knob counterclockwise until the knob pointer is in the 12 o'clock position again.
  6. Push the temperature control knob straight in towards the heater-A/C control base until the perimeter of the knob (not the knob pointer) is flush with the face of the heater-A/C control base.
  7. Rotate the knob to its full clockwise stop again. The knob pointer should be aimed at the end of the graduated red strobe temperature control graphic on the face of the heater-A/C control base. If OK, go to Step 8. If not OK, go back to Step 2.
  8. Rotate the knob to its full counterclockwise stop and release the knob. If the knob springs back from the counterclockwise stop, the self-adjuster clip that secures the temperature control cable to the blend-air door lever is improperly installed. See Temperature Control Cable in the Removal and Installation section of this group for the procedures. If the knob does not spring back, the temperature control cable adjustment is complete.

Cant find temperature control knob

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are looking for the temperature control knob on your Frigidaire freezer, model# FFU2064DW. The temperature control is located inside your freezer on upright models, and on the left outside wall on chest models. The temperature is factory preset to provide satisfactory food storage temperatures. However, the temperature control is adjustable to provide a range of temperatures for your personal satisfaction. However, the temperature control is adjustable to provide a range of temperatures for your personal satisfaction. Hope this is helpful.

Freezer alarm goes off even though the freezer temperature is below -20C. The compressor runs continuously.

From the sound of it the temperature control is bad. I'm only stating this because if the cold control (temperature control) isn't converting the temperature to electrical signal properly, the machine will constantly run trying to reach the set temperature the cold control is set at. Question, is there a digital display showing the temperature or did you use a meter or thermometer to check it, and how is the temperature set, by a digital control or a dial, rheostat or any other type of manual control?

Temperature does not go below 59 deg. refrigerator side.

Auto Damper models, The Auto Damper model refrigerator has
two controls and both have capillary sensing.
The Auto Damper controls the fresh
food temperature and the Freezer Temperature
Control guides the freezer temperature.
The fresh food compartment temperature
is maintained by a damper assembly located
at the back of the temperature control
housing. Changes in air temperature
cause the damper door to open and close.
A control rod and gear connect the fresh
food control knob to the damper control.
Turning the fresh food control knob to the
COLDEST position increases the flow of
freezer air into the fresh food section. The
freezer compartment temperature control
warms at a faster rate and cools at a slower
rate, increasing the compressor run time
necessary to maintain a satisfied freezer
temperature control.
Turning the fresh food control knob to a
WARMER setting decreases the flow of
chilled air into the fresh food section. The
freezer compartment temperature control
warms at a slower rate and cools at a faster
rate, decreasing the compressor run time
necessary to maintain a satisfied freezer
temperature control.
It is ver possible that the auto damper has failed and will need to be cosidered as a likely cause.
