Question about Hoover Washing Machines
I have Hoover 700LC washing machine almost 12 yrs. only couple of months i noticed that when i started the full cycle for washing, it turns to right side & left side dosent. I can see that it trying to turn to left with hard effort with bit of sound of wheel,But its rotating very slowly to left direction. But after couple of hard turns, which i could say 10-15 hard rotations, then its back to normal washing cycle with out any noise. It works left and right directions very well until finish of complete washing period. But if i stopped for a while for 30-45 minutes then again agitator does not turns to left.It makes same noise like before. I replaced the belt last month. It is original belt. But it dosent solve this problem. Please could you kindly response to this problem Thanks for your time. Maha. email@example.com

then the transmission is bad the part number is 3360629 since you know about the drive coupling the you know wher the transmission is all you need to do to change it is
remove the agaitator
move pump to the side
drop dow the motor
remove motor wiring at switch
remove the retaing clip from the transmission for the motor wiring
the tranny is held in place with 3 half inch headed bolts

Check the paw. It is a plastic somewhat u shaped piece that sits on the bottom of the machine and is connected by a plastic lever and a solenoid. It usually breaks on the end and as such won't lock the gearbox in. If you keep running it like that there is every chance you will probably burn the motor out.

the machine is nknown to have bad main seals, in turn leading to the corrosion of the spin bearing, in which case makes it sound as if a helicopter is landing in your laundry room
