There is a temperature sensor that tells it to stop sparking. It may need cleaning or replacing.

Eurolec gas hob piezo ignition is constantly arcing. How can this be stopped without turning off electric supply ?

You can't service it without the power off, that arch is many thousands of volts. More than likely the igniter points are eroded and need to be adjusted for the proper gap.

My Electrolux stove top piezo ignition won't stop clicking how do I make it stop

Hello Jan, thank you for your inquiry!
From what you have described your Electrolux cooktop will not stop clicking. This could be an issue with your burner or gas connection. I would suggest having a professional technician out to look over the cooktop as well as disconnecting your gas connection. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Igniters all spark but burners wont light

Make sure main gas is ON. Try lighting with a long lighter, and if it lights, sounds like the spark of the piezo switch electrode is not in line with the gas.

Piezo igniter won't quit

Possible stuck burner switch or failed spark module. Unplug unit. Remove wires from burner switches at module and plug back in. If it starts sparking, replace module. If it stops, then replace switch harness.

Smeg gas hob ignition

There is a problem with the board. It has malfunctioned onto an ignition mode. By switching it off, it shows the capacitor is holding chage untill flat.(Hence the continual sparking) Replace it.

Ignition sparking on its own with GE mongram gas stove top.

the sparking is one of the switches under the knobs shorted you may be able to open the top and take a switch off 1 at a time and you can figure out what one is shorted.or you can just change all of them.
to stop this you may be able to just unplug the cooktop from under the top.if you unplug the cooktop you should be able to light the burners with a match.
