How much air should be in the bladder bag in a 36 gallon captive air tank

The air pressure in the tank should be two psi below your pump cut-on pressure (i.e. 18 psi with 20-40 psi pump cut-on/cut-off or 28 psi with 30-50 psi pump cut-on/cut-off).

Is a 30-gallon bladder diaphragm holding tank best for me?

Yes, a bladder type tank is a lot more dependable. You can install a diaphragm into your bladderless tank but it will still need to be charged with air periodically.

Pressure switch cycles on off

Check your pressure tank, sounds like bladder has a leak. Unscrew cap on valve on pressure tank (looks like valve on car tire where you add air to tire) turn cap upside down and use, or small screwdriver to depress valve, if water comes out bladder has burst and replace pressure tank. If not then check bladder pressure with tire gauge. Correct settings are clearly posted on pump. Then add air to pressure tank or remove air to correct pressure. Use a accurate pressure gauge.

Can you repair sevylor bladders? if so how?

dollar store contact cement in tube., an old bike tire, cut a patch out of tire and glue the patch on glueing around hole and underneath patch. apply patch smoothly. now glue around edge of patch. and let it dry for a few days at least 24 hrs. I have patched a bic yakka and a few cheaper inflatables patches hold up and hold air. good luck.

Where do I put the 100 oz. Hydrastorm water bladder and route the drinking tube?

jetblackrave-

In what type of backpack are you trying to use the water bladder? The hydrastorm is most effective in a pack designed for a water bladder. A pack designed for a drinking system willhave two things: 1) a pouch on the inside of the pack that will hold the bladder in a vertical position, against the back, and 2) an opening (usually a small hole on the left/right/or on both sides). A pack without these features can work with a bladder but less effectively. Worst case, you can always make modifications to your pack to make it work with a drinking bladder.

Hope this helps.

My bissell proheat turbo 2x hand tools will dispense solution but not water.

  • Fixed it! The check valve on the bottom of the bladder wasn't going deep enough into the recepticle on the base of the unit; the valve wasn't opening, and the pump was sucking from a dead end. (It WOULD pull soap from the small tank, but not the main bladder reservoir.) I cut a 3/4" piece of a disposable ball-point pen cap, to ride over the rod in the center of the recepticle. Long enough to push the valve open, but short enough that the tank assembly sat down on the base. If the rod is too long, it will push the whole tank up, and break the vacuum seal at the forward edge. Evidently this thing was designed to a tight tolerance, and just a little aging/distortion of the plastic reservoir base was just enough to keep the valve from being pushed open!

How do you stop a 12 volt water pump from short cycling when the outlet tap is on

Is this in a camper? You can either increase the flow to match that of the pump, or install a "bladder" tank in your plumbing system. A small air bladder tank is not too expensive. You charge it with a min of air pressure. When the pump comes on, it will pump the water, and this will compress the bladder raising the pressure in the bladder. When you begin to use the water, the bladder tank will begin to supply the water, when the pressure drops sufficently enough for the pump to come on the cycle will repeat, allowing the pump to start and stop with a delay in between instead of off-on-off-on etc.

Model LA712 washing machine has a small leak how

These washers are notorious for getting an injection bladder leak. The baldder is located atop the washer in the imlet hose assembly; here is the part:

Located here on top left hand rear corner:

Remove the injector(white pointed plastic looking thingy) from inside the old bladder and shove it up into the new bladder ; reinstall it back where it came from.

Rubber valve at bottom of blader tank

It is called the (#69)auto load asm, part # 2107041. It would be wise to replace it, It will come as one piece. Is the bladder ok? You can call Bissell and maybe buy the part thru them or they can tell you where to go to get it(800) 237-7691 ) .
