My battery powered sprayer, when I turn it on, the voltmeter shows that the battery has plenty of power, but the motor does not come on to pump the sprayer up. what should I check next?

Sometimes we forget to lub these before winter if you can see outer end of pump motor see if a little nudge will un stick it

My windshield wiper sprayer is not working


Look in the fuse panel to visibly check for blown fuse. Each manufacturer hides the fuses in a different place - sometimes under the dash panel, sometimes behind an ash tray or change compartment, sometimes in the glove box. The panel should have a fuse layout diagram with the rated amps for each use - usually 10, 15, 20 or 30. When you find the blown fuse replace with a new one of the same amp rating - too low and it will blow. Too high and you could damage the wiring if there's a short. Before I went crazy tracing fuses, check the plug on the washer motor. I would unplug it, clean the contacts with a spray cleaner and replace.
Or maybe the pump motor has gone bad. Electronics Goldmine sells washer pump motors very cheaply. One of them may fit.

Frigidaire Model FDB780RCB0 I am getting water in the machine but it seems the arms are not turning what can I do to get that fixed?


The pump in the dishwasher is supposed to provide enough water pressure to turn the spray arms and make them rotate. The pump is faulty and not giving enough pressure or the arms are stuck.
Try spinning the arms, if they rotate smoothly, you will need to replace the pump.

Windshield wiper washer pump fuse


On a lot of cars, that washer pump circuit is really a sub-circuit of the windshield wipers themselves. The wiper fuse is also the washer pump fuse, in other words.

Use a test light or a voltmeter. Pull off the electrical connector at the pump on the washer fluid tank. Have a helper turn the key on, then press for the washer pump to operate. Take your test light and clip the ground lead to the negative battery post. Touch the tester probe to the positive terminal to assure the light is bright, that the test light will work. Now probe the connector at the washer pump. One of them wires should light up the test light, or would show battery voltage with a voltmeter or multi-meter. If it has power when key is on and washer switch on, the motor is bad, or sometimes you have to go a little further and find a ground fault.

If there is no power on any wire at the pump connector, you will have to look at a wiring diagram to diagnose it. Find out just how the pump gets power.

The fluid wont come out the windshield wipers can u help me understand because its full of liquid but nothing comes out


Windshield washer fluid pump motor has gone bad or the wire leads have corroded, causing no connection. The Windshield washer fluid motor pump is located at the washer fluid canister. Inspect the wire leads and check for 12Volts when turned on. If there is power and the pump does not work, replace the pump.

Can't get the pump to power on. when turn "on" nothing happens (no pump running)


MAKE SURE YOU HAVE POWER TO THE BACK OF THE MOTOR , IF YES IT MAY BE THE PRESSURE SWITCH IS BAD OR THE BRUSHES ARE WORN OUT. .. IF'N I WAS ANY HELP VOTE FOR ME ...THANKS.. JAY

Pump won't turn on


You will need to confirm that you have 12 volt DC power to the pump
Start at the pump and work back to the switch and power source

Bit of information for you to remember 99.995% of all 12 volt failures are ground issues, make sure you have a solid ground first

Turn the ignition on my 330d fuel pump buzzing ok all the lights ok but no power to starter, no click nothing. shorted out starter motor terminals and motor works


test power to starter with a voltmeter while someone else turns the key. if you are getting power, than solenoid is faulty. If you are not getting power, than relay or ignition switch is bad. Do double check your battery connections to make sure they are metal to metal contact.

Starter Testing Starting System Voltage Drop Tests NOTE: The battery must be in good condition and fully charged prior to performing this test.
There are three area of the starter motor circuits that voltage drop test can be performed on. These include:
  • The starter feed circuit
  • The starter ground circuit
  • The starter solenoid.
Starter Feed Circuit
  1. Disable the fuel system by removing the fuel pump fuse or the fuel pump relay.
  2. Verify that the vehicle will not start.
  3. Connect the positive lead of a voltmeter to the positive terminal of the battery.
  4. Connect the negative lead of a voltmeter to the starter B+ terminal.
  5. Turn the ignition key to the START position and note the voltage displayed on the voltmeter.
    • Ideally, there should be no more than 0.1 volt drop for each connection displayed on the voltmeter. No voltage should be consumed by the vehicle wiring
      1. If the battery cable connects directly to the starter motor there should be no more than a 0.2 volt drop measured
      2. If the vehicle uses a starter solenoid between the battery and the starter motor terminal there should be no more than 0.4 volt displayed on the voltmeter
Starter Ground Circuit
  1. Disable the fuel system by removing the fuel pump fuse or the fuel pump relay.
  2. Verify that the vehicle will not start.
  3. Connect the positive lead of the voltmeter to the case of the starter motor.
  4. Connect the negative lead of the voltmeter to the negative terminal of the battery.
  5. Turn the ignition key to the START position and note the voltage displayed on the voltmeter.
    • Ideally, there should be no more than 0.1 volt drop for each connection displayed on the voltmeter. No voltage should be consumed by the vehicle wiring
      1. If the battery cable connects directly to the starter motor there should be no more than a 0.2 volt drop measured.
Starter Solenoid
  1. Disable the fuel system by removing the fuel pump fuse or the fuel pump relay.
  2. Verify that the vehicle will not start.
  3. Connect the positive lead of the voltmeter to the case starter B+ terminal.
  4. Connect the negative lead of the voltmeter to the lug (the starter M terminal) that connects the starter solenoid to the starter motor.
  5. Turn the ignition key to the START position and note the voltage displayed on the voltmeter.
    • Ideally, there should be no more than 0.2 volt drop across the starter solenoid displayed on the voltmeter.
In general, there should be no more than a 1.0 volt drop throughout the entire starter motor feed and ground circuit. Any voltage drops measured in either the feed or ground circuits after connections have been cleaned will require replacement of the affected battery cable. Typically, any voltage drops measured in the solenoid are repaired by replacing the starter motor.

I looked at all the steps for replacing the blower motor...they should not have messed with anything that would have affected the operation of the starter.
