Why do I just hear a click when I put on my television and there is no picture?

When I yurn on my television all I hear is a click but there is no picture nor sound

your audio ic is probly done..take the audio output from the back of the tv..if you have one..and put it into an amplifier to hear sound..

This tv have a board call the ballast board to help the projection lamp to ignite.U hear clicking noises mean the ballast board is dead,not doing it job igniting the projection lamp.

the cable my have a short or the dvd box might be connected wrong if your wires are not connected write the tv will continue to do that
