How do I create a new email account and get rid of my old one?

You always can create a second e-mail address on Yahoo. I do have even more (working) When you don't want to use an old one, just remove the settings from your browser, on the PC, from your tablet and or Phone. Create a new or more than one on the Yahoo website. setup the security correct, so you can reeve access to the account, even after you forgot your password. When the account is working (could be within 10 minutes when you are good in setting up) send your friends your new address and tell them they can't reach you on the old address.
Try this page to setup a new account:

Getting rid of a new account is really hard, especially if you want the old one back. I'm afraid you won't be able to reach the old one. Did you have any information you wanted on the old one?

Hi i need to restore my Phillips iqor computer to factory settings as i am getting rid if it and don't want to leave my personal information on it

You don't have to go thru all that trouble to get rid of your personal information. First just create a new user account with administrative rights that the person who is getting your computer will use. After you create the new user account reboot the computer and log on with the new account you created. Then Delete your old user account. It will delete all your documents, music, pictures, videos.

Click Start/Control Panel/User Accounts then create the new user account with Administrative Rights (not limited).

Reboot and and log on with the user account you just created.

Click Start/Control Panel/User Account and select the account you want to delete and Delete it. When asked about files to save, you want to delete everything associated with the account you are deleting.

If you have more than one user account you want to delete, do the same thing for it.

I want to clear my hard drive, because I'm giving my computer to someone

You don't really want to clear your hard drive unless the person you are giving it to has an operating system to reload, otherwise the computer is useless to them. What you really want to do is get rid of all of your documents, music, pictures and videos. Here's what you should do. 1) Click Start/Control Panel/User Accounts and select the option to create a new account. Give the new account the name of the person you are giving the laptop to with administrative rights (not a limited account) or give in a generic name such as Owner or User. 2) Once you've created the new account do a restart of your computer and when it comes up log in to the New Account that you created. 3) Now click Start/Control Panel/User Accounts once again, but this time select your old account, then look for the option to Delete User Account. 4) Delete your old user account and delete all associated files when asked. It will take a few minutes but when finished all of your documents, music, pictures and videos will be long gone and your user account will be gone also. Now when you give the computer to the new owner it will be operational and he can start using it.

Boot problems!

Hi gcooper1873,
If your primary IDE has a copy of windows already on it, than that alone can cause the system to re-boot & go into a loop of re-starting. It is alway recommended to install windows fresh when a user replaces the motherboard with a new motherboard. The only execption to this rule is if your replacement board is an exact match of the motherboard. Plat it safe. If you have another IDE data cable replace your current data cable. See if the system restarts.
If you have data on the primary IDE & do not wish to loose the data from your old windows than you need to create a new partition within the IDE's free space. This should stop the system from restarting. You can leave both IDE drives connected for this. Load your Windows XP CD & boot to it.
If the system does not load the Win CD than manually restart the system & press the F8 key every two seconds as the system boots. You should get this screen:
2fc53e5.jpg
High-light the CD-ROM with the windows CD in it & press enter.
Read the display from windows XP's screens. You want to create a partition within the free space of your primary IDE. Than you want to install windows onto that new partition. By doing this you will not loose any data from your old windows partition. (You'll be able to delete the old win partition later).
Install windows complete & install all of your motherboard drivers from the Gigabyte CD.
Turn on windows firewall for protection. Click on, Activate Windows & do so by phone. Its free.
Update window. (Suggestion, when updating windows look through the updates & find .Net framework 1.0) & install. Its prefered to install all .Net framework's in order. ( 1.0, 1.1, 1.1 hotfix, 2.0, 2.1 ECT). Windows will want to restart your system inbetween some of these. Do so. You will also notice you may have to click on your user ID to log into windows, this will go away after all .Net frameworks have been installed. Do not remove guest from within user accounts in control panel. Once windows updates are finished you can now copy the old partitions data folders to the new windows folders.
Suggested folder's to copy:
C:\Documents and Settings\ User name\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book
C:\Documents and Settings\ User name\Desktop
C:\Documents and Settings\ User name\Favorites
C:\Documents and Settings\ User name\Local Settings\Identities
C:\Documents and Settings\ User name\My Documents
Data from any program you may have installed.

Now you need to get rid of the old partition with the old win XP on it.
Use windows disk management program.
Click the start button, click on run & type in " diskmgmt.msc " & press the enter key.
You'll need to change the old win partition to a different drive letter. Example: Your IDE drive had one drive letter assigned to it - C:\. Windows most likely kept the letter C:\ assigned to your old windows.
With disk management you can re-assign all your drive letters. Once your sure you have all your data copied over onto the new installation you can delete the old windows partition.

Which one of these motherboards is your's? Click the link below;

Good luck gcooper1873!
