SOURCE: how to put brake pads on

Look on the right hand side of the transaxle, behind the front side of the rear wheel and locate the brake arm with a long rod sticking through the top of it. Note there is a 1/2" nut in the center of the arm near the bottom.

Before you start to replace the pads, try adjusting that nut. Put the tractor in neutral on flat level surface, engine off and turn the nut in while rolling the tractor back and forth with one hand, when you can no longer move the tractor STOP and unscrew the nut 1/2 turn. Now check your brakes.

If you still don't have brakes then you go back to that same nut and remove it completely, pull the arm out of your way and you will see a round disc about 3" in diameter beneath a "yoke" There will be 2 bolts 3/*8" head in the yoke, remove those and the brake pads will be right there, one in the yoke and one behind the disc.

Hope this all makes sense to you, if not, let me know and I will try to sort it out further

Craftsman bushwhacked hedge trimmer model 358795720. Can't get the cover of to replace the muffler

To get to the muffler, the carburetor will have to come off of the machine. Take the air filter cover off and remove the air filter. You will see 2 screws in the base of the filter cover. Take those screws out and this will allow the carburetor to drop off of the engine. You can just let the carburetor hang from the hoses and cable for the time being.

On top of the engine you will see 4 screws; remove them. On the front of the engine (below the spark plug) there is a screw that must be removed. Also, the spark plug will need to come out. The engine shroud should not lift off the engine. Around where the 4 screws come through the shroud, there is an "o" ring, make sure to not lose it.

You should now be able to access the muffler to remove the old one and put the new one in place. Once it's in place, put the "O" ring back and seat the engine shroud. Then put all the screws back in place. Then attach the carburetor back to the side of the engine.

I need a diagram of how to put the Blade belt on my Yardman 42' riding lawnmower

Yeah, these belts can seem impossible to figure out. There are idler pulleys that press against the back of the belt. The routing is sometimes not obvious. Do a search for your particular model.
