Question about Sanyo Televison & Video

I have a Sanyo 42" Plasma TV. Possibly hit by lightning, and won't come on. Model # DP42740-05. Is it salvageable?

Hello, I have a Sanyo 42" Plasma TV, that will not come on at all. Model # DP42740-05. March 25th, we got hit by lightning. It took out the landline phone, internet modem, burned out some bulbs in an overhead light, took out the DirecTV box, and this Sanyo TV. Everything is up and running again, except the TV. Luckily we had a back up TV. When you plug it in, you can hear a click, but nothing comes on, and the on-off switch, and indicator light does not come on. Just wondering if you would have an idea if this TV is salvagable. I've watched a lot of You Tube video's. That's where I found your email, and website. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Probably not worth repairing as it would be cheaper to buy a new tv.

My Sanyo 42 TV model do 42545 have no sound or picture and the green light (Power) have one long blink then two short blanks

One long blinks~two short blinks = the error code is [12]. These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

No video but audio is fine on Sanyo 42" DP42746 TV

If you unplugged the Ysus board, then you need to replace the Ysus board, or both sustain boards. This is the part: The part is often available on Ebay, or from manufacturer. Look also at Vance baldwin or Partstore. To do a good job the Sustain boards should be tested by a tech , following service manual. It is almost for sure sustain board by the way.
