How do I replace the oven door gasket on my VGIC3686

Replacing a Door Gasket

If the oven won't heat to the desired temperature or heats unevenly, the problem could be a defective door gasket. The best way to test for this is to pass your hand around the door, being careful not to touch it, while the oven is turned on. If you can feel heat escaping, the gasket needs replacement. Replace it with a new gasket made for the range.

On most ovens, the gasket is located on the frame of the oven, and the door closes against it. This gasket is generally friction-fit in a channel and can be replaced. In other units, the oven door has two sections, and the gasket is not mounted on the door frame, but is installed between the front and back sections of the door. Don't try to replace this type of gasket; call a professional service person. Here's how to replace a frame-mounted gasket:

Step 1: Pull the old gasket out of the channel. On some oven door frames the gasket is held in place with screws. To get at the screws, bend back the exposed edge of the gasket.

Step 2: Clean the channel and the door frame with a solution of mild household detergent and water.

Step 3: To install the new gasket, start the replacement at the top of the door frame and work down the sides, easing the gasket around corners. Finish the installation along the bottom, butting the ends of the gasket firmly together.

How do i remove a harddrive from a computer case when only one side has screws to remove? Details: Okay so i'm trying to remove a hard drive from a computer case that only has screws on the back right...

In this case the hard drive is mounted in a frame. Look for mounting screws that locks this frame to the computer case. When you remove this frame you can access the screws holding the hard drive.

How to replace the grill element in a Stoves 720EF double oven?

1) Isolate the unit by turning the power off at the main switch.
2) Remove appliance from housing unit.
a) When handling the appliance care should be taken to ensure the outer frame trim is not damaged.
b) The appliance is secured into the housing unit by 2 screws through the top corners of the front frame, open the doors and unscrew the 2 corner screws.
c) Grasp the bottom of the frame, pull forward and out onto a suitable surface.
3) Unscrew the top and rear panel securing screws and lift the panels clear.
4) From the rear of the appliance, pull off the 4 (top) grill element leads and the earth lead.
5) From inside the oven unscrew the 2 screws from the grill mounting plate.
The above is from the Handbook. I assume from point 5 the element is then free to be removed. reverse the procedure to fit the new element.
If you want a copy of the Handbook, then I will need an email address for you.

This is a easy problem... Have any question call 972-907-9771 x311
51e9bbd.jpg ATTENTION Hammer springs and hammer tips are fragile. Do not touch the hammer springs or tips. Handle hammer springs by the
thick mounting base only. Apply pressure only to the mounting base.
NOTE: Replace a hammer spring assembly only if there is visible damage or broken parts can be seen in the assembly.
5. Remove the mounting screws from the old hammer spring assembly. (See Figure 18, page 367.)
6. Handling the hammer spring assembly by the mounting base only, gently pry the old hammer spring assembly off its
mounting pins. (See Figure 18, page 367.)
7. Inspect the hammer bank and the old hammer spring assembly:
a. If there is ink on the hammer bank mounting surface, the hammer spring assembly mounting surface, or the hammer
spring neck or tines, reinstall the old hammer spring assembly and replace the shuttle frame assembly (page 405).
b. If the old hammer spring assembly and the hammer bank are free of ink, install the new hammer spring assembly
Installation
1. Using a clean dry cloth, wipe the hammer spring mounting surface on the hammer bank. Make sure the cloth does not
leave lint on the hammer bank.
ATTENTION Hammer springs and hammer tips are fragile. Do not touch the hammer springs or tips. Handle hammer springs by the
thick mounting base only. Apply pressure only to the mounting base.
NOTE: Replace a hammer spring assembly only if there is visible damage or you see broken parts in the assembly.
2. Handling it by the mounting base only, remove the new hammer spring assembly and mounting screws from the box.
3. Handling the hammer spring assembly by the mounting base only, carefully position it on the hammer bank mounting pins.
then gently press the mounting base down against the alignment pins. (See Figure 19, page 369.)
4. Continue pressing down on the mounting base of the the new hammer spring assembly as you install the mounting screws
from the replacement kit. Using a Torx T-10 bit adapter, torque each screw to 14 inch-pounds (1.58 N•m). Tighten the
center screw(s) first. (See Figure 19, page 369.)
NOTE: Use the 1-30 inch-pound Torque Screwdriver, IBM part number 16F1661.
5. Install the hammer bank cover assembly (page 354).
6. Install the shuttle frame assembly (page 405).
7. Install the ribbon and load paper.
ATTENTION Do not attempt to adjust or “tweak” hammer springs.
8. Run an operator print test and check print quality (page 223):
a. If print quality is acceptable, return the printer to normal operation (page 339).
b. If print quality is still degraded, replace the shuttle frame assembly (page 405).

I have just bought a car with an overhead tv i dont know how to get power to it

    Headrest TV
  1. Step 1 Disconnect the headrest from the car seat and remove its upholstery. Trace the outline of the TV's mounting frame onto the foam cushioning with a permanent marker.
  2. Step 2 Cut a hole into the foam using a razor knife for the frame to fit into. Using the frame as a guide, whittle into the hole until it is deep enough for the frame to fit into. Glue the frame into the hole with contact cement and poke another hole into the foam with a screwdriver where the frame's cable hole is.
  3. Step 3 Place the headrest's upholstery cover back on and cut the fabric away where it is over the frame.
  4. Step 4 Place the TV into the frame once the contact cement is dry and hard and run its cable through the other hole. Connect the TV to its tuner console with audio/video cables and store the tuner under the seat.
  5. Step 5 Connect the TV's power adapter cable and route it so it can plug into a cigarette lighter adapter. If it doesn't use one of these, it will have a three-way cable where one connects to the car starter, another to a constant 12-volt source and the last one to a good ground. Disconnect the negative battery cable before connecting any wires
  6. Overhead TV
  7. Step 1 Make sure there is a metal sheet installed in the ceiling below the headboard. This is needed to mount the overhead player onto.
  8. Step 2 Pull away the upholstery on the ceiling. This might require a solvent that will remove the upholstery's adhesive. Insert a plywood or metal sheet between the headboard and upholstery and glue it to the upholstery.
  9. Step 3 Mount the TV set to the ceiling, making sure the screws for the TV's mount are securely screwed into the sheet within the ceiling.
  10. Step 4 Route the wires to the engine compartment if the TV doesn't use an adapter plug for the cigarette lighter. With the negative battery cable unplugged, connect the TV's red wire to the starter's electrical connector, the yellow to the battery or other 12-volt source and the black to a metal ground like on the chassis.
  11. Dash TV
  12. Step 1 Unplug both battery cables from the car's battery, starting with the negative terminal.
  13. Step 2 Remove the stereo from the car. Pry away and remove any trim panels on the dash, then unscrew the mounting screws on the stereo and disconnect the electrical connectors. Some stereo units have an anti-theft mounting system requiring special tools that fit into holes on the stereo front to release its mounting clips.
  14. Step 3 Place the TV within an installation kit designed for your model carmag-glass_10x10.gif. Connect the antenna's cable to the TV and mount the antenna on the outside of the car; the trunk or the roof near the door frame are two possible locations. Route the cable along the weatherstripping or secure it to the side with cable ties.
  15. Step 4 Connect the TV to its tuner box with RCA video (composite) cables and store the tuner somewhere secure, like the glove box. Wire the TV to the radio antenna and stereo connectors with a wiring harness designed for your car, which can be purchased at a car audio supply store.
  16. Step 5 Mount the TV into the stereo's old spot within the dash, fasten all the mounting screws and replace the trim panels. Reconnect the battery cables once the set is mounted, starting with the positive terminal.
i hope this will help.you can send a message if you not satisfied

My Coleman Powermate 5500 is lose inside its frame

Rubber feet normally attach via a bolt or screw through the center of the foot. Look for a bolt or screw were the feet use to be. The rubber may have torn free, so you may need to glue or replace the feet.

Brakes and pegs

There is two ways to put the pegs on.

1. they screw on th the threads of the wheels where it mounts to the frame.

2. If there is just a hole in the peg you have to remove the nut where the tire mounts to the frame put the peg on then put the nut back on the wheel. You will need a long extension for your socket for this method.

Good Luck
