Hi Olamiposi

Modern Digital TV's are now Computers with a CPU & Memory etc. Prone to various component problems.
But.... the biggest & most likely problem is that the DC voltages are not stable

Caused by Leaky or Bulging Electrolytic Capacitors

Do you have access to a Soldering Iron?
Do you Have Access to an Electronic Components shop?

If you are not a Tech Type....
Take it to a service tech & ask to check Electrolytic Caps.
Most Tec's these days will Just Do A Board Swap. Costing $$$

If you are a tech type and feel like exploring & fixing the problem.
Disconnect The Power
No Internal 25KV voltages to worry about.
There is a shock hazard on AC side of Switchmode Board.
Electro Caps on AC side can hold 110 / 240v

Check Switchmode internal power supply on DC Side for bad Electrolytic Type Capacitors.
The insulated Tin Cans on the PCB

Bulging or leaky Electrolytic Caps cause many failures in modern digital TV's
Good Luck

Polti Vaporella 600 not pumping tested pump OK so either main PCB or Reed switch Fault ? Bridged reed switch no go No LED's lit on PCB power running at 240v any ideas or wiring diagrams for PCB Please ?

wiring diagram will be difficult. You must search on internet by try to get some one.
You must test the input voltage for to see if there are voltage, test the fuse or c.breaker for open or faulty and replace or repair. and try again. However will be a Great idea, if your Resolder all the colder union PCB from oxide, bad contacts.etc., and try again.
God bless you

I have a hHotpoint washer/dryer model no WD865A. During A wash cycle it flipped the household relay off. I reset the relay pressed start. This was followed by a bang, similar to a capacitor blowing, The...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but with such a fault it is extremely difficult for anybody on this forum to remotely guess what is wrong with your washer.
It could be internal wiring/plugs sockets, control panel switches, control PCB, water inlet control valves, door solenoid as primary suspects. Secondary suspects could be main motor, drain motor.
I fear that your only real option is a service call as the engineer will have the right equipment to safely diagnose what is wrong.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Whirlpool fan assisted oven - fan motor coil burning out

The PCB board is definitely at fault here. One of the dc voltage lines is transferring too much current. The regulator and resistors are probably compromised. The better option is to replace the board than to try and fault find the components.

Can I use a US bought Nespresso Aeroccino in Europe

Almost certainly not. Domestic appliances in the US are designed for 110v and European domestic electrical supplies are 240v. Only devices designed to be portable beween coutries, such as laptops, electric shavers etc., are fitted with automatic variable voltage inputs.

I cannot be 100% certain because I can't find a manual, but unless you can find a voltage input switch on the machine I would suggest you don't try it. 240v will not do it any good at all!

The fact that you have 240V to the valve does not prove that the valve is o/k. Determine which is the live wire, and leave connected to valve coil.
You need to remove the neutral wire from the valve, and test with your meter that as well as having 240V going in, you have 240V coming out on the other terminal, if you have not , then you have a faulty valve..Simply replace it.
I assume that you have a neutral feed to the valve, because if you have not, then the fault is probably in the pcb board.
The coils on these valves often go open circuit.
Plz rate my solution.

Zanussi DE540X Dishwasher

I have the same problem. First fault was caused by poor workmanship on the assembly of the PCB. There is a relay (the largest component on the board) which was badly soldered and caused some arcing resulting in solder splattered around the plastic casing and a lost electrical connection. This relay switches the mains voltage on to the heater i.e. 240V around 8.5A for a 2kW heater. (26 ohms suggests a 2215W heater for the case mentioned). Re-soldering this connection solved the problem for about a year. Now the dishwasher is showing the same problem. I have tested the relay and it is operational, but does not seem to be turning on during a wash cycle. A new board costs around £100. Zanussi will not even provide the technical details to allow a home fix. I will post my finding if I get to the bottom of this problem. It may be to do with electrical temperature sensor. My hunch is the controlling PCB is cheaply made and will not last a reasonable lifetime. A dishwasher is in itself a very simple piece of equipment with only a few valves, a pump and a heater so should not give problems in its first five years of life subject to normal usage. I will not consider purchasing any Zanussi appliances in the future.
