If you are saying the door no longer returns to its upright position on it's own than the spring broke, the hinge is fine so long as it travels the same path.
Just google: "oven door spring XXXX" where the x's are your model number.

Need fitting instructions to replace door hinges as manual misplaced. thank you.

The user manual probably wont have instructions for replacing your door hinges anyway. The service manual would, but they don't generally supply those with the oven.

I'd need to know the brand and model of your oven in order to give advice on fitting, as would any other expert here. Some ovens have sprung tension hinges, others have pivot/swing hinges.

Oven door seems sprung as if a spring may be shot and door dose not close all the way?

You need to replace both oven door hinges, as the springs are weak, and there is no adjustment available.

Kenmore 790.49073400 oven door won't close completely

Hello- You are on the right track. The hinge assemblies are 'sprung' or bent out of shape. Replacing them is pretty easy, so you can do it yourself. Four screws on each side. Be careful, these springs can snap closed and bite ya. Use the little pins that come with the new set to lock hinge so this doesn't happen. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed- Thanks- Ed

I have a Kitchen Aid oven, model #KEBS107DWH2 and the hinges are "sprung" so the door will not close all the way to turn off the oven door sensor, unless you prop something up against the door. That said,...

You are very lucky if that machine lasted as long as it has. if you replaced those hinges in 2007 that's 10 years. The last one i bought they said we will be lucky if we get five to ten years out of the new one. Unless you want to put money in this one its probably cheaper to buy a new one in the long run.
They could not care less if you tell them you won't buy anything from them again. I had a large company official tell me that.

this is a serious pain
down a few hundred of these overe the years
ok you will need long needle nose pliers
and a sturdly flat head screw driver
try to reach it with the needle nose
and usae the flat head as a pincher try to work it behind the hinge
these springs are 110 lbs so it will take some effort to get them out
short of this you will need to drop them out of the cavity on each side of the drawer
