Look for the same type of connector on the control module and the connector on the harness.

Hi i have a 2006 vw golf that is coming up with Cannot communicate with the tcm now i have replaced the tcm and its still saying the same thing

Time to diagnose properly by checking the wiring harness. Get a wiring diagram and troubleshooting instructions. You've already spent far more replacing a perfectly good module than it would have cost to buy a year's worth of alldatadiy.com

Wiper relays (2) on/off relay an speed relay , location battery junction box . Look at the wiring diagram here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model and engine . System click body & accessories , subsystem click wipers/washers . Click the search button , then the blue link . After viewing the wiring diagram for the wipers , Change systems to electrical distribution , then click junction block . Then the search button an first blue link . Shows the relay position . The wiper switch is a input to the front electronic control module . The relays are also controlled by the electronic control module . Probably has code set in the module . You would need a factory scan tool to check this .

Is the EEC-IV module the correct control module for my truck?

Yes, I'm pretty sure an '87 model would be EEC-IV. It was an emissions control system, not a module, and Ford went through the previous generations (EEC-I to EEC-III) during the early '80's with all types of barely-working contraptions.

Just look on the VECI label (Vehicle Emissions Control Information) under the hood. It will tell if it is EEC-IV. If your wiring diagram is for a 1987 model, then you are on the right track. It may be difficult to find an illustration of the ground points. Those are usually only in the Factory Service Manual. And neither Chilton nor Haynes will reproduce that portion of the wiring diagrams. Alldata probably would have it, but that is a subscription service.

Defrost keeps popping fuse 11 in fuse box making a/c clutch not to work and 4x4 silenoid

I would suspect a faulty A/C clutch. However, after looking at a wiring diagram, the only thing the A/C system and 4WD system have in common is the powertrain control module. Take a very close look at the wiring harness between the fuse block under the hood and powertrain control module for corrosion or damage.

I have 2010 Ford Taurus SHO seats. I believe they are 8 or 10 way memory seats. Trying to retrofit for a street rod. Have a few wiring diagrams but not enough. Can't get power to any motors yet. Numb

Problem Solved !!! I traced every wire, Bought manuals, Ended up buying a passenger seat wiring harness and removed driver memory control module plus harness. Installed new passenger harness and it works great ! You need VIN# when ordering part, Order number is slightly different then number on wire harness but when it came in numbers matched. I have a 94' buick century special 4 cyl. I need

Generally speaking, the module is mounted on the side of the block and the coils are mounted to the module. You can remove the entire assembly and then swap the coils over to the new module.
There should be a wiring harness plugged into the end of the module.

Control Module WMA34

If my memory serves me well, the plugs/wires will only fit the correct spots on the module, and I believe there is a "jumper" on the original module, make sure you remove and install in the new module..Good Luck
