Try a different software to burn your CDs if that doesnt work then the "write" laser in your Rom is bad.

This may be true about the write laser gone however I am working with the Roland VS2480 CD and this workstation does not have changeable software. It will play CD's with no problems and will upload my backed up projects just fine. I get the 'operation failed' when I attempt to burn my new recordings or back them up.

SOURCE: toc error

toc error means "table of contents" error... means the player is unable to read the disc at all. May have a dirty focal lense to laser. clean gently with some windex on a cotton wool bud. It may be a faulty spindle motor that spins the disc. the bearings get worn or uneven and do not allow for disc reading to be successful. a check for this is a drop of oil to the bearing. It may then start to read discs, but will still require the motor to be replaced. . Check for the above... but if there is more required, take it to a Kenwood 'Agent... it may need a laser change

SOURCE: my cd player wont play my burned cds

this happens all the time, instead of getting CD-Rs, try getting the CD-R Music, they are specially made to be played on CD players, I buy these all the time and they work in every CD player.

Cd burning error

If possible, use a second CD player/burner to burn a CD. If can't borrow one, either internal or external (USB), they are fairly cheap second hand. I suspect your CD player has become defective, maybe only in burn mode. Can you burn anything (eg, software) using this item ? ie is it only iTunes that's affected ?

What brand of bland cds are you using? Maybe you can try a different brand. I know Alpine has trouble reading some brands of blank cds, such as sony.

The last 3 discs might be CD-RW which can be rewritten, but not all cd players will be able to read them. Just go to the store and buy some CD-R disks and re-burn the last 3 disks. That should solve your problem.

The CD player does hardly read self- burnt audio CDs although every one of my other cheap Players i have at home or in the car can read them.

The answer depends upon the age and precise version of your Bose system. Not all CD players can reliably read CD-R and CD-RW discs, and even those which do are sometimes picky about the brand of recordable disc in use.

In my experience, all of the Bose Wave systems I've worked on have contained surprisingly cheap/average parts inside considering the luxury price-tag. Either stick to using other cheaper (and often far better) CD players for CDs you've burned yourself, or look into getting the CD laser pick up inside your Bose replaced with one which is known to have no issues with CDs of different reflectivity to standard pre-recorded CDs.

Copied CDs won't play with my Aiwa LCX 350 shelf system. It will spin for a bit, then stop. I've tried every method ... with or without remote, start/stop, etc. This doesn't happen with any retail CD. Only...

It sounds like it's not reading the CD. 2 things to try, neither of which are guaranteed to work:

1) Try changing the brand/colour of your recordable CD.  Some machines read different colours/brands better than others; particularly older CD players.  If the ones you have are all light-coloured, try burning a couple of dark-coloured CDs and see if that helps

OR:

2) It could be the speed at which you're recording.  Try burning a CD at 1x speed and see if that helps.
