Want to build old cylinder head parts into new cylinder head on a colt 2.8 rodeo 2001 model double cab

if you are using the old valves in the new head you will need to seat the valves into the new head, the best way to go is to take it to a mechanic and get the valves seated in properly ,and you can also get the springs checked as one or more could be weak but you can seat the valves yourself by getting valve grinding paste and a valve grinding tool a stick with a suction cup on it then you turn it in your hand clockwise and anticlock wise.

The temp./pressure valve on top of the heater is leaking. what is the cause and solution.

It is possile that it had apressure fluction for various reasons. It's also possible that valve spring is just getting weak. What i would do first is replace T&P valve and see what happens. These are common 3/4 inch male iron pipe t&p valve available at most hardware stores. First shut off water supply to water heater, then open valve on hot water side of nearest faucet to relieve pressure. Remove old valve by turning counterclockwise. You may need a pipe wrench as they can be pretty tight. Remove old t&p valve and use teflon pipe tape or joint compound on new valve threads. Install new valve and tighten securely. Close faucet previously opened to relieve pressure, then turn water supply valve to water heater. Check for leaks and tighten further if needed. Check valve occasionally for next couple days. If no further leaks from valve then your're in business. Hope this helps. Thanks

Have an old gas valve in floor of house. Have to replace

You will need to find the shutoff valve at your gas meter. With a big wrench turn it 1/4 turn this will cutoff the gas to you house completely. Now you can remove the old valve and install the new one safely. There may be a bit of residual gas pressure in the piping of the house. But make sure that it stops before removing the valve completely. Use a good pipe dope on the threads on the pipe before installing the new valve. Turn on the gas at the meter again and spray the threads at the gas valve with soapy water to check for leaks. If the soapy water makes bubles you have a leak. Turn off the gas again and tighten the valve down more or reinsatll the valve with fresh pipe dope.

1 year old Frigidaire front loading washing machine will only

Check the water inlet valve. Unplug the machine, turn off the water, and remove the supply hoses. Check the small metal screens inside the openings on the water inlet valve. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris. Pay particular attention to the hot water side. Check the solenoids using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid and the valve assy will need replaced. I'll attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

My truck don't shift. Has one forward and reverse. It is a 2500 1992.

Check transmission governor which is a gear driven metering device for the valve body. Its the old school speed sensor.Remove governor and inspect for stripped gears or stuck valves. This fluid circuit is critical for trans upshift...also check TV cable at the carburetor....this is the old school throttle position sensor for the trans control valve body.

I'm a hobart tech,The valve your talking about is the saftey valve.Normally if i serviced your dishwasher i would replace both valves just because how old it is.But in most cases the saftey valve goes bad.The coil on the valve is weak and tends to drop out the voltage.Another thing to check that would cause the same issue is the pilot, especially propane gas.Sometimes you can just clean out the pilot but if it's warped i would replace it.

No water coming in - soap is dry

Check for power at fill valve when it is supposed to fill. If power, check filter in valve. If not clogged replace valve. This is about the only repair I would make on a machine this old. They are really not designed to last more than 10 years. The new ones are much quieter, efficient and clean better. The fill valve should cost around $25 and you can easily replace it yourself.
