Question about Bose Wave Radio
SOMETIMES IT PLAY AND OTHER TIMES NOT -
Does it do this while useing the radio? These radios have a few specific problems. The cd may just need cleaning. If you can run a disk to clean it, that might just fix the problem. Dust can block the lens. The other problem is the caps in the system go bad an need replacement. The amp section on these fail with poorly made caps.

I had the same problem yesterday on my new Bose Wave Music System. I just kept on pressing reinsert everytime the CD got rejected and suddenly it started accepting CD's again.

I hope it is still under warranty and can be replaced, Bose products are littered with problems.
Pool loading of the CD can be a simple lens cleaning or a defective laser/transport.
First step is to unplug for 10 minutes then replug.
Failing that find the nearest service centre.
Hope this helps!

Testimonial: "The solution worked for now.....I just need to find the nearest repair center for later."
Install the disc cleaner cleaning kit you bought from Wal-Mart so that the heads are cleaned of dirt and debris. Now try to play a disc. Also, check that the disc is not heavily scratched or got grime on it. You going to have to go have the disc re-surfaced and cleaned so it will play again.
If none of the above work, then you have to call Bose factory service and have them look into it if your within warranty. Otherwise, you gonna have to open this thing up and replace that failing optical drive or check for a loose power cable that connects to the optical drive.
