Eileen you describe my Samsung problem, I usually wait until it behaves again. At the same time I check the connections, disconnect electricity and router, connect again. I've also tried to connect a DVD and Apple TV ,then it works like an angel.
I got a Samsung manual for us so we can find out why the TV is so naughty. It is not my TVs serialnumber. Good luck

Check online - it is a known problem with the Samsung. it is possibly a capacitor on the board. I was able to replace 2 of them years ago and it solved the problem. good luck.

SOURCE: Vizio makes loud static noise, picture goes fuzzy.

You should check your home wiring and grounding. Also be aware of anything that has recently been turned on when this happens. Anyone using a microvwave, cell phone, or other appliance that might be causing the interference.

SOURCE: TV Powers off after 30-45 mins

I had the same problem with my 1 year old 26" TV. I called Magnavox customer service, and they had me upload a new software driver to the TV - which didn't solve the problem. Then they suggested that I call the local Authorized Service Center - and they estimated that it would cost $200+ to fix the problem. But then I found the "remove the back solution" listed here - and it worked!
Thanks, you saved me at least $200.

SOURCE: New 40 in Dynex having issue

Just got off the phone with Dynex, sounds like a common problem with a recent batch.

Tech support suggested returning the tv to futureshop/bestbuy since I'm within 30 days of purchasing.

Static on screen and then turns itself off then on

My first aproach will be to see if the tv reacts to tap on the sides if you see a reaccion when you do it most likely you have a loose conection and need to call someone to find it and resoldered it.Dont do it yourself if you dont know how.
