Question about Computers & Internet
When switched on my C235 does not respond correctly. The fan starts running and only the little green light on the main power is on and the light around the start button.

One thing u can do also. Open your system case, remove cmos battery clean cmos battery and then insert like same. And restart your system. Other wise check power connections voltage. If it is ok then definitely it will wirk.

SOURCE: pover up trouble
sounds like something is drawing down on your 12 volt supply drives or on board regulators. Try it without the drives connectged, and see if you can get the system to boot up(you'll just get a notice that your drives are unavailable, but you'll already know that, right?
got backup for your Dell?

6 long beeps indicates that there is a problem with the memory, take them out, clean the contacts and the DIMM slots and reseat them.
Hopefully this will resolve the problem, if not new memory may be required

Hey mate... Now there could be a number of things wrong with your PC.. First thing is that on the back of the main tower there are 4 Lights that glow if the system is ok but in case of issues they glow in different patterns according to the potential problem... look out for those lights n refer em to this chart
Also in case of potential component failtures the system gives out beep codes in patterns (maybe the sounds u hear at startup)... Do a quick check
Now regardless we can perform a basic troubleshooting...now you seem to be tech savy enough so do one thing... remove all the chords from the system... then hold dowm the power button to discharge the flea power... now remove all the components one by one n reseat them immediately... this will reset the connections n then try n restart again... if the problem persists then post the 4 led code here n we'll go from there mate :-)
