Have you been pulling the plug out of the socket by the cord>\? If so, the wires near the plug may be broken. If this is the case, you need either an electrician or Repair Shop to fix it. If not, the problem is probably in the Vaccuum Cleaner itself.

Hi, this is Jim with Crucial Vacuum,

First thing to check is your vacuums electrical cord. Unplug the vacuum and look for any rips in the cord. This usually happens when you unplug the vacuum by the cord itself and not the plug. If the cord is in tact there may be a clog disrupting the flow of air within.

You mentioned that your hose isn't blocked and your filters are cleaned so instead be sure to check your vacuums brush roll and dust bin. After every use you should empty your vacuums dust bin to help prevent clogs, which can cause your vacuum to stall.

The brush roll is the easiest part of your vacuum to clean. Be sure to rotate it manually to help unclog any hidden debris. If you notice hair wrapped around it, cut it with a razor. After clearing out your vacuum of any clogs should it still not work then the problem is most likely electrical. Try using another outlet to plug it into and see if the problem still occurs.

You can purchase a wide variety of replacement parts and accessories for your vacuum directly from Crucial Vacuum with free shipping and an exclusive 10% coupon for Fixya.com readers, use code: FIXYA10

I want to check out my Wertheim 3180 my daughter borrowed @ it has lost a lot of suction filters are clean

If the filters are clean, try removing the hose from unit whilst switched on, if the sound changes then you may well have a blocked hose or tube

Lost all suction? what happened?

Give it a good cleaning, the hose or vents could be blocked up. Make sure you check the air filter (intake vent) if this is blocked it will stop a vacuum cold.

I have suction through the hose but not when using in the upright position. The problem started once I removed the filter to clean it.

there is a chance that the hose between the ground pick-up and the suction hose is clogged,, this happens when the filter is blocked and all the dirt and stuff only makes it part way up the hose and then settles at the bottom. run a wire coat hanger down the line to break up the blockage.

Shuts down after 10 min use

I would clean or replace filters on it check the hose to make sure it is not blocked . It sound like it is over heating and making the breaker kick off and after it cools down it resets this is caused by dirty filters or blocked hoses.

My filters? need cleaning

most likely the hose is blocked, drop a coin down it to confirm. You are best to replace the filters, they are not very expensive; though they are not likely to be the cause of your nilfisk over heating

Hoover eite rewind vacuum has blocked airflow, how do i fix?

Is there suction at the end of the hose, if not then the blockage is in the hose, unhook the hose and dig out the debris, if hose isn't blocked, then clean out the filters, if they get clogged, then air can;t flow thru them and you won't have suction. If you have suction at the end of the hose, then it is clogged down in the nozzle asm. there is an inlet by the brush roll and it comes up to where the hose plugs into. Clean the clog out.
