Hi Tammy Shaver, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?

-Did the monitor come with the computer? or, did you already have the monitor?
-Where is this blinking light? on the monitor screen? On the monitor, near the On/Off switch? or on the computer?
-Is this a Windows-based computer? or, an Apple?

No amber light on the monitor screen. Sometimes it will show a small box stating something about D-Sub, and other times it goes straight to the amber light blinking

OK, I saw that it's a desktop, this is the kind of info we need when you post the question so we can help you better. Disconnect the power cable, take out the Ram, clean the memory Ram with a pencil eraser, do not install the memory yet nor connect the power cable, press and hold the power button for about a minute. Now connect everything back and check if it works. This usually because of a memory Ram that could be faulty.

Make sure the battery is fully charged. connect the charger then try again , If it loads now the battery is more likely not charged. If it will not load up get in touch with Amazon.

Amber light from the case? If that is the case, and I'm just thinking outloud here, it could be the battery or the HDD light. For as long as the PC turns on, everything should be OK.

Testimonial: "No, it is an amber light on the monitor. It will start to load, and I either get a blank screen or one that has a small window real quick saying something about the D-Sub"

Optiplex 755 blinking amber light, simple solution, I'm no IT professional.

If the power light is blinking amber, the computer is receiving electrical power, but an internal power problem might exist.A power supply or system board failure has occurred. Try to isolate the problem by removing or disconnecting all cards, i.e. video, sound cards and disconnecting CD/DVD and hard drives.

My GX520 was shut down as usual last night...I turned on this morning and I get nothing...just a little yellow/amber light blinking where it is normally green....help

Here is the info straight from Dell. looks like you have an internal power issue. You will most likely need to contact Dell directly for assistance, they are pretty good about giving support even if the system is no longer covered under warranty.

If the power light is blinking amber -
The computer is receiving electrical power, but an internal power problem might exist.
  • Ensure that the voltage selection switch is set to match the AC power at your location (if applicable).
  • Ensure that the processor power cable is securely connected to the system board.

Computer will not turn on

  • Blinking Amber/yellow: Initial state of LED at power up.
Indicates system has power, but the POWER_GOOD signal is not yet active.
If the hard drive LED is off, it is probable that the power supply needs to be replaced.
If the hard drive LED is on, it is probable that an onboard regulator or VRM has failed.
