Go to your download folder to find what you downloaded. If it's an executable file, you can double-click it and run it from there.

Can not uninstall anything I download like games ,etc

It sounds like you may have some software that deletes the uninstall files after you download and install. You can try to restore your computer to new state or you can download this and run the tools section , highlight the ones you want to uninstall and click remove. If the uninstalls are available it will find and uninstall if not it will give you the option to remove from add remove programs. Its also free and will help clean up system as well.

Need a driver for web cam 251-6506

I cant seem to find a free driver for your webcam. So I'll give some options of what you can do.

1st option is this.

LINK

Go to the link above and click the download button. its an easy way to download your driver, but the sad news is you have to pay for it for almost $3 . you can pay it by Paypal or using your credit/debit card.

2nd Option is this:

LINK 2
  • The second option is to download the software in the link above and install it to your PC.
  • Run the program and click Scan to start scanning for installed devices. (You must connect first your webcam before starting the scan in order for the software to detect your webcam.)
  • Now after the scan is finished, browse for your webcam device ( If you can't find it, it might be marked as Others)
  • Now once you've found your webcam device, click the download button to start downloading the driver. ( I'm not sure if it will find the driver for your device just try to download it first )
  • Now once the download is finished, click the install button beside the download button to install the downloaded driver.
  • After installing I suggest that you restart your computer before doing anything.
  • Do not remove the webcam while you restart.
  • Now once your PC has rebooted, try using your webcam and it should working by that time.
Goodluck, Hope my solution will help you. Please give me feedback if my solution worked for you, and if what option worked for you. thanks.

Thank you for using Fixya!Have a great day. =)

My computer has been infected by some software called "Windows restore" - naturally it's saying my computer has tonnes of problems and is telling me it's in critical condition and that I should...

You've picked up a virus all right. Don't believe or try to open or download anything having to do with these pop ups. Download the the free verson of Malwarebytes here;
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
If you can't download normally, try to start in "safe mode with networking" and download. After download is finished, it may give you the option to run a quick scan immediately. Allow this and let it make the necessary repairs If you have anti virus protection now and your happy with it run a full scan now and make necessary repairs when done. If you don't have anti virus protection you can get it here for free;
http://www.avira.com/en/avira-free-antivirus
After the download from them run a full scan and let it make necessary repairs. Will probably take a couple of hours. When thats' finished, go back to Malwarebytes and run a full scan. This also will take a while. You can set your Avira to run automatically and in the wee hours of the morning. I run mine everyday.
Good luck

Scanner

without thinking anything else do onething.
uninstall your printer driver and going to hp website select the option support and driver. put the model number and select the operating system you are using. be careful to select 32 bit / or 64 bit check it in computer properties and then select the right operating system and download and save on the desktop. then restart the computer and run the s/w you have downloaded.
when you run the s/w make sure the printer is not connected to the computer.
it will give you the prompt to connect the printer and then connect the printer to the computer. follow the wizard and things will work great and all your problem will be resolved.
you can alternately use the installation cd to reinstall the printer s/w if you have.
note installation is done after you restart the computer after uninstalling the s/w.

Want to download avast antivirous

http://www.filehippo.com/download_avast_antivirus/download/c7425420812c7e211dccfd0c85bada32/

Click on the above link. And it would take you to a download page and there would be an option on the right corner saying "download the latest version" Click on that and it would give a fle to download.
Click run, that would download and again say run.
Hit run again and follow the installation wizard.
If you still have the previous version of the Software, have it unsintall.

BOOTMGR IS COMPRESSED CANT GET ON F8 REPEATLY HELPP I TRYED EVERYTHNGON MY TOSHIBA SATTLITE P205D S7438PC

Hello.

Saw that you posted again ...

Since you can't access F8, the only options are Repair, Factory Restore and reinstall.

Change your options (usually F1 or F2) to boot from your Windows CD. Run the Repair option.

Accessing Factory Restore (restores to the factory settings and will wipe out anything that you have installed or saved on your PC), is dependent on your hardware manufacturer. Give this a try:

http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/pma500208010_web.pdf

The last option is a complete install.

Hope this helps.

My windows vista blocked my downloads ...

You can disable this option by going in to the Internet Explorer Options.

Tools->Internet Options->Advanced->Scroll down to Security->Check the option "Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid".

Now, Restart the Internet Explorer & you are ready to go

Hope this would help.

Driver downloaded

That means the site you downloaded from did not compress the file correctly. When you went to uncompress it you received that error message. If you have the option at the download link you can try to run instead of saving. Not all give that option. If you post here what file/driver you are looking for, I'll find a valid working download if at all possible.

Pop ups

It sounds like perhaps you have been hijacked or have a virus or some sort of spyware/adware. Using a wireless router shouldn't mean that you'll be bombarded with popups, but be sure you have your firewall running and security enabled on the router, just to be safe.

That said, try running a virus scan with whatever anti-virus you have installed. If you don't have anything, use TrendMicro's HouseCall (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/). That I believe also will, or will give the option to, check for adware/spyware. If it doesn't, or if it doesn't find anything, try downloading a program like Spybot Search & Destroy (a personal favorite). You can download it here. Run a scan with Spybot and delete anything that it finds. Make sure you've set up Backups in the Spybot options first, and take a system screen shot via System Restore before you do anything.

If you need additional help, please let me know. Hopefully this helps though!

Good luck!
