Is it stopping in the middle of a cycle? I sometimes have the same problem. I'm sure you've tried pressing the stop/cancel button and then the start button again. If you haven't try that. If that doesn't work, UNPLUG your machine, take off the lid (screws are on top edge of lid in back. Unplug and then plug back in the wires on the mother board. Put the top back on and try using it again. The wires on my mother board loose their connection. I believe they are the wires that say the door is locked. Anyway, this is what the service man did for me and I am able to manage without spending a ton of money on a new mother board. Sometimes when this happens now, I just hit the back of the lid over the mother board and hear a click, which means the wires made their connection again. Sometimes I still have to take the lid off. Hopefully, as in my case, your wires are just loosing their connection. Good Luck!

Check filter

I would check filter, but your problem is in the board. It should be under a warranty if it is under 3 years old. Kenmore is generally a good product, but contact Sears to get immediate help if it is not the filter.

Why on an LG Front loader does the FE code come on and not on Rinse & Spin?

Here is the LG site for washing machine error codes, you can scroll down and find the FE code there:
http://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT10000010-20150140270078-other-error-codes

The site shows the following:

The FE error code indicates the washer is overfilling. This is usually the result of a faulty water valve.

1. Close both water taps.

2. In order to drain out any trapped water, power the washer back on and press the Spin Speed button until No Spin is selected and press the Start/Pause button.

3. Once the washer has drained, restart the wash cycle.

Front load kenmore elite washer show code FE why

The FE code is probably an overflow error. The intake valve is stuck in the open position and the washer can't advance to the next part of the cycle with the water coming in. You need to replace the inlet valve.

Since you didn't provide the full model number, I can't point to the correct replacement part for you. Please post a comment with the washer model for additional information. If your washer is still under warranty, contact Sears for service. ( searspartsdirect.com will likely have the parts diagram and sell the correct part. However, other vendors may have the valve at a better price. This will depend on the model.)

I hope this helps.

The water in the tub is draining out on its own and the led indicator shows FE

The FE error code indicates water is overflowing due to the faulty water valve. So, the 4-way water valve will need to be replaced.
Here is the part you need.

In display shown FE

"FE" error code - over flow error
-Check water conection
-Check Water valve for proper operation

When the "FE" error code is displayed the drain pump will be turned on to pump the water out of the washing machine. LG Washing Machine Error Codes

This error code comes up when there is a over flow condition. The error is coming up because a part inside the washer has failed. I suspect the water valve on the back may be the culprit, it's fairly common.

Hope helps.

I have an LG Senseclean and th FE code was showing and water level was higher than normal. Now PE code is showing and washer wont function at all?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
LG's 'FE' stands for 'overFlow Error' (or Flood Error is how I remember it!) and 'PE' for '(water) Pressure Error'.
So- looks like you have a leak which has been detected by the sensor in the flood detection tray underneath which is there for exactly that purpose, sorry.
Service call ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

I have a LG washer model WM2487 H*M suddendly water started coming out from underneath and also the front panel shows a light saying FE....I read that means something about is due the faulty water...

FE = Fill Error. Not a faulty water valve in your case. (FE codes if it takes too long to fill the machine, but if the water is leaking out, the valve is not the problem, the leak is) If you take the back cover off, you might be able to see where the water is comming from. Possibly the black rubber hose from the tub to the pump has a leak.

FE ERROR CODE

FE error is due to "Over flow" error. Water is overflowing (water level frequency is over (213) When FE is diplayed the drain will pump out automatically. Water level sensor needs to be replaced.

Our LG model WM2032HW intermittently show up with th FE code what could be wrong and can it be fixed by us?

FE error code means water is overflowing. The water is over 8 level. When FE is displayed, the drain pump will operate to drain water automatically. Otherwise the pressure switch assembly is malfunctioning. Check and replace if necessary. Part number is 6600FA1704X.
The pressure switch assembly shuts off the water inlet valve when the desired water level is reached. It then activates the drain pump when the water inlet valve is not deactivated.

"FE" Error code on Lg Washer #2277HB

FE means overflow condition. That means sand or trash has gotten into the tube going from tub to water level switch. So find that hose and blow it out. Remove the standing water and retry.
