I would assume it has a thermo switch to control temperature so if all else is working that would be next logical safety device to check.

Testimonial: "thanks but not that. its elecronic and the top and bottom elements work but not the fan and element. did i say its a de dietrich dod 348.cant see if theres a lower door interlock without taking off the sides"

I have a belling b160f cooker, which blows a fuse after an hour of operation, I suspect the cooling fan? This is assuming the cooling fan kicks in when it gets too hot? I have checked the elements for the...

Put an AC Amp meter (preferably a logging type) on to the unit for when using it. See if it exceeds that of the circuit breaker or fuse. Most of these appliances pull about the maximum allowable load from the mains supply. If the Amps never exceeded the rating of the breaker or fuse, this means the problem is with the electrical panel.

I have seen a defective heating element in appliances cause the tripping of a circuit breaker in the electrical panel. With age the element becomes a little lower in resistance at times, and thus is drawing slightly too much current. Replacing the element fixed it.

I have a Smeg SE 336SS-5 Electric oven, I have recently had problems with the fan motor not working and the electrics tripping out when the cooker has been on for a while. I have replaced the fan motor...

This tutorial will show you how to check your Smeg element and how to replace your Smeg cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
  1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Smeg manual.
  2. If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
  3. When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

Smeg fan oven not working, all other functions ok

You need to place use a multimeter to check the element for continuity if that is ok then the next step is to check for 240v being
switched to the fan and element array.

With the unit switched off at the wall put the test leads onto the correct points ( Use the earth post for the Black lead) switch the meter to a range to cover the 240vac and then switch on the unit

If there are no readings then you need to go back up the wiring to check the input to the thermostat

The bottom (fan oven) of my Neff U1721 made soft bang noise and failed. The fan stopped, the oven light went out and the thermostat light. I replaced the burnt out heating with a new element with a 32.5...

The power to the fan and thermostat is the fault. You will need to trace wiring from these elements to power source and I suspect that where the power cord meets the oven is where you'll find the cause.

Fan oven on zanussi electric cooker does not heat up

From symptons, I would say the fan oven element is faulty, more so if the fan is working. Remove inner rear panel of oven and see if element gets warm, let it run for a minute, switch off and feel if element is warm, if not, then replace.the element.
Plz rate this solution.
Thanks.
