Want to know if u can tape one channel while watching another

I haven't met a DVR or a PVR that doesn't have twin tuners. This is the only way for digital reception to be acceptable for a lot of people used to watching one channel and recording another for the last few decades with analogue tv and the trusty VCR.

You should indeed be able to record one channel while you watch another or if the equipment is of premium quality it is possible you could record two programmes while watching something already recorded.
I hope this helps.

How do you record from my tv and what channels will I get?

Has this ever worked?

When you mention channel I assume you mean the channel on your TV set. Normally an S-Video input will be an aux input channel and not a numbered station on your set. How do you select the player chanel/ input when you watch the DVD?

Is the arial connected to the PVR then to the TV or direct to the TV It needs t pass through the PVR.

My Humax Duovisio PVR-9200T often freezes completely and has to be switched off at mains for a few seconds. Or commands from remote (eg subtitles, menu, channel change) take minutes to respond. Or...

Remove the Aerial.
Switch on or if it's frozen switch off at the mains and on again.
Press Menu
Installation and enter password - 0000
Select 'Default Setting' and OK
Select 'YES' and OK to restore all settings to factory default.
Confirm again to start loading, enter the password again and it will start scanning for channels but won't find any.
Replace the aerial and press OK to rescan and now it will find channels. On completion press SAVE then EXIT on your keypad.
You won't lose any saved programmes but you will have to re-schedule your recordings.

Humax PVR 9200T freezing picture and will not turn off.

Unplug the aerial; switch the PVR On; if you have control via the remote do a reset to default settings thus:

1. press Menu on the remote
2. select Installation and enter default password of 0000 unless you have changed it
3. select Default settings and okay on YES
4. then turn if off again via the remote
5. plug the aerial back in and it will scan for channels, save them of course.

I got help on this from other forums but saw your request for help. This worked for me.

I cannot get my DVR4300 to go in to TV channel change mode while recording a program

Why not simply record a channel tuned into the vcr and use your tv remote to watch a channel tuned into your tv? that is how it is normaly done... don't forget a vcr/pvr/dvd recorder has it's own channels just like a tv does... just no screen of it's own the tv has of course it's own channels and in fact does not even need to be switched on in order for your recorder to record a program neither does the recorder need to be on to use your tv

My Humax PVR picture freezes after a few seconds (on BBC1) and no controls work - switching off and on the problem recurs.

Fixed it. Unplug your aerial, start it up (it will not freeze), go into the menu and reset to factory defaults (code 0000). When it has finished plug in the aerial but stop it searching for channels, reset to defualt again. Next let it find the channels and save them and it should work fine (mine does).
