Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Learn Sign Language or look around for the lost sound, it may be under the TV stand. Seriously, Ed, Sound or AUDIO is a separate section from the VIDEO. The Video can operate just fine and Audio can burn out or Vise Verse.

since you droped it once, try to open the tv from the back and check if the crt board is still connected to the neck of the crt tube. it might me lose or not sitting right. I hope you did not break the borad in that tv. well, you have nothing to lose, open it and and check it out. good luck
