Make and model. If it a transaxle, drain and refill. Best would be, take apart and clean.

Front diff leaking driverside right at cv joint makes a humming noise.diff bearing or seal or possible wheel bearing ?

Sounds like a hub bearing a nd a leaking axle seal to me. The two parts are seperate and have nothing to do with the other so it was just a coincidence that you noticed the leak after you heard the hub bearing. Replace the axle seal to stop the leak and then replace the hub bearing assembly to fix the humm because you have to dissassemble all of that to fix the axle leak anyway.

There is a knocking sound when turning, I have a 2006 accord with only 42k+ miles. What are the possible scenarios, with so few miles???

Knocking noises when turning are quite often associated with the outer CV joints on the front axles. These joints have a boot on them. If that boot ruptures or is damaged the grease inside leaks out and water and dirt get in ruining the joint resulting in a noise when turning. Check both outer CV joint boots for tears or damage. The fix is to replace the joint or complete axle.

Left rear axle leaking - Dealer states $820 to fix due to many parts within the axle. Does this sound right?

fix same problem myself...these's' only 1 inner seal (differential output seal only-about 10$ each) that needs to be replace and new brake shoes (20$ part)..assumed u have rear drums and it leaked diff fluid on the brake shoes..but, i also replaced the brake cylinder (15$ part)-u have to disconnect brake cylinder to remove axle..look on internet for procedures..http://www.yotatech.com/f128/replacing-rear-axle-seals-3rd-gen-4runner-76339/..hope this helps..all dealers are ripoffs-worked at toyota for a year

Wife,s 97 buick skylark, 2.4 L., leaking water. need help!!!

I had the same problem a month ago. I thought it was the thermostat, which sits inside the lower water feed tube that runs from the radiator, under the car and up between the engine and trans axle to the thermostat housing and water-inlet housing attached to the water pump. I replaced it and it kept leaking. So I got under the car with a mirror and a light and found that it was leaking from a weep hole in the water pump. This happens when the water pump seal is bad. to replace the water pump you nearly have to take apart the back of the engine and the timing chain cover. The waterpump is mounted at the bottom of the back of the engine and is turned by the timimng chain. It took me two days to fix, and it was not easy. There are a couple of sites that have info, which helped me. It's about a $600 - $900 job if you take it to a repair shop.

Transmission Axles 2005 Mazda 3

mcdevito75, I have heard of 2 different type axles being used on Mazdas, the important thing though is the fluid leak. Have your local repair shop take a look and fix this leak.

When i turn left i hear a knocking sound from my steering and i also can feel it when im pressing on the brake

What year and how many miles on the Kia? I suspect your axle boot is torn. This is a rubber boot that goes around the axle to protect it from dirt, water, and crud it would be exposed to when driving. As the car ages, the rubber will crack and split, allowing road debris to enter the axle assembly. When this happens it isn't long before the axle must be replaced. If you can look under the car at the center of the front wheel, check the boot for damage, splits, cracks, etc. You may see a lot of grease in that area, another sign the rubber boot has been torn, and axle grease is leaking out and being spread around. Have it checked soon, as the other side is either about to go, of already is beginning to. I just replaced the axles in my 92 Honda w/ rebuilt axles for only $50 each, but there is a lot of labor involved in changing them, so it isn't a cheap fix. Let me know what you find in your inspection, but it does sound like a bad axle due to a torn boot. coountrycurt0
