I would check your manual to see if it has anything on the code you're talking about. Hopefully it will have troubleshoot instructions. If not give human resources a call. You could even try looking online for a manual as well.

Indoor inlet pipe sensor. Cause of error, Open/short, Solder poorly, internal circuit error.

Check point & Normal condition, Normal resistor 5 ohm at 25 C unplugged.

Normal Voltage: 2.5 vdc/ at 25 C ( plugged in )

Check Point:
1. Unplug the sensor on the indoor unit PCB.
2. Estimate the resistance of the sensor.
3. If the resistance of the sensor is 10 ohms/ 5 ohms at 25 C then the sensor is normal.
4. If the resistance of the sensor is - 0 - ohms then replace the sensor.
5. Plug the sensor on the PCB and Power on.
6. check voltage.
7. If voltage of sensor is 2.5 VDC at 25 C then the sensor is normal.
8. If the resistance is O or 5 Vdc replace the PCB.

What does the code on the screen mean flashes between ch and 05 ?

CH 5 on these units indicates a communications error between the indoor and outdoor units. Generally, it will require a replacement outdoor board assembly to repair it. Lookup LG parts on the internet or ring them for your nearest Agent or parts. 800 243-0000

From the limited information that I could find on this item, CH2 is a temperature error.

CH 5

This is a Comms error, you may have had a power spike/voltage drop/power cut. Or a wire has been broken but this is unlikely.

I would suggest turning the power off at the indoor unit by the isolator, and also the power at the outdoor unit. leave off for 10 minutes, turn on isolator on the outdoor unit and then the indoor unit. Then start the unit up.

If the problem persists you may have a fault with the unit and a A/C contractor would be required.

This is a common call for LG equipment, i get it all the time.

all the best
